I love my C5 and finally got to sit in a new C7 yesterday, and even with my 6 ft 5 in frame, it was very comfortable. They got the interior right on the C7 and the seats are very comfortable.
Looking at the first photo, my first reaction was that the back window and the back end is too busy looking. But then again the C5 is fairly low-key.
Maybe comparing cars is not really fair. Take them on one at a time.
I would love a C7, C6, C4, C2 & C1.
See... I looked at the photo and thought how goofy the new one looks.
C'est la vie
Too much going on in the back. I think the front looks pretty good, but not much for the side and hate the back.
Would take one for the technology, but to swap mine for it AND payments. NO WAY

Side by side I was surprised the C7 is taller, wider , longer, and weighs over 300lbs more. I still like it, the interior makes mine look like a buckboard wagon seat,
Correction,
Your car (stock) weighed 3174 lbs and the C7 coupe weighs in at 3298 for a net gain of 124 lbs. Its weight/HP ratio is 7.25 vs your car (stock) at 9.2 lbs/HP.
The C7 looks great imo. I hate to say it but it looks better than the C5 side by side. Hard to imagine but it's true. Vettes sure have changed through the years and then not really at all, they all have that vette look to them and are all worth owning.
I probably will never be able to afford one, but I sure like them. I don't care for the tail lights all that much, but if you judge them just as a C7 vette, they're fine. If that makes sense.
C5 owners were lucky with the C6 because it didn't change all that much, but there's a huge difference in the C7 and C5 and C6.
When I retire I'm going to either buy a C6 or Camaro SS as my DD. I could get a C7 but I have other interests as well that will keep me out of one most likely.
The box on the left tilts left and the fence on the right tilts right. Wide angle. What focal length lens and what camera? Not starting a fight but would like to know.
It is a beautiful car and I would like to have one just for the fact that it is new, but, always a but, my first thought of the photograph was that it screamed Pontiac. It looks like the rear end of a Pontiac. The corners, the Corvette symbol, all of it.
I am not hating on it because I do not nor intend to ever have one of my own. But, biased as it may be, the C5 is in my opinion is the most sexiest, sleekest, voluptuous of all the Corvettes since the C3's went out of production. C6 is nice but without the folding headlights, it reminds me of the square headlights of the Jeep in the nineties. They went back to being round because that was one of the main eye candy Jeeps were known for. And a Corvette should have folding head lights for the same reason.
Yes the C5 is starting to look dated, but that C7 just reminds me of a transformer car from the rear, and some models of Ferrari from the front and side.
I guess some one has to say it so I guess I will...That "thing" is Butt Ugly! I.M.H.O. On second thought I'm taking back my
It's even uglier than I thought.
