Man, a whole lot of thought and prep went into that cover - very, very nice. Looks like there is nothing left to modify on the Grape Ape, but I could be wrong. I also got a chuckle out of your Corona Hair Do.
Congrats Mark!
Thanks, yeah that hair will be back again. Hope to retire in a couple years. Then it’ll just keep growing, if I still have it anyway.

That’s just the certificate they send you when you become a member and it has your member number on it. Not a big deal really.

Well, I didn't think it was even possible but a friend of mine suggested I look for some purple bolts for the cover. Turns out they do make them and I got them in the mail waiting fir me when I got home from work this morning. This purple goes well with the purple in the Ape I think. I'm actually liking the look.
HAHA, yeah!!!! WOW!!! Okay, yeah not even, but thanks for thinking of me.
So onto another topic, yeah I'm changing it now, LOL.
I took the car out to lunch as I wanted to check out that Coolit mod I installed. Well, that was a total bust. Good thing I wasn't to far away from home, if it would have been another 5 miles or so it would have over heated on me for sure. When I got home the temp was right at 235 and I had to turn the AC off to keep it there. It hasn't been that warm for like, ever. So I'm going to take it off and see how it acts without it. I don't think the high speed fan was working at all. Gonna check it out tomorrow while it's still hot as hell out down here. I'll report back when I figure it out.
Mark, does your coolit turn the high speed fan on when your ignition is is the on position?
If not, as jdmvette stated, you may have gotten a bad one too.
Mine is a V3 and works, but both of yours are V2’s and apparently they were in a faulty batch.
P.S. It sounds like when the coolit is bad it won’t allow the high speed fan to come on even when the computer would normally have turned it on itself.
I think I will keep the OEM relay in the glovebox as a plan “B” should mine ever fail.

Yeah that's a good idea to keep that relay with you. I'm going to try it again tomorrow even with the 113 temps. If it works without the thing hooked up then I'm sure it's faulty. It does turn the fan on with the ignition turned on so I'm not sure why it didn't work.
Found these in the mailbox this morning when I looked. Might get a wild hair up the you know what tomorrow morning if it's not to warm out and get them installed.
Yep, that's the low....the garage doesn't get much cooler either. If I can be done by 9 AM I'll give it a shot.
On another note, I removed that Sac City fan control mod this morning and the car runs much cooler now, it didn't go above 196 like it's suppose to be. Not sure what's wrong but I'll be running without it from now on. I don't know about you all but when a mod to an important system like cooling doesn't work, then I get a bad feeling about it and loose all my trust in it. So I really don't think this will be going back on the car. I will be in touch with Sac City and see if they can check it out for any anomalies. I sent them a PM so hopefully they'll respond soon. If it comes back checking out good, it will be for sale at a discounted price from new.
Received my aluminum gas & dead pedals a few days ago. I know it's super hot here right now but I figured why not install them early in the morning, so I did it yesterday. I'm really liking the new look.
I found an old-ish video a buddy of mine made way back in 2012. Thought I'd share it with you all. It's the first time he tried the rolling video shots and wanted to see how it turned out. I think he did a pretty decent job but the camera quality wasn't what it is today. I haven't seen him in a while so hope he's doing okay. He use to have a C5 and that's how we met, but has since moved on to something else before this was made.
Been a while since I posted in here. Finally have something to talk about.
My new AC condensor I installed last year decided to spring a little leak so I had a shop I like replace it for me since it's so frickin hot down here right now and I didn't want to mess with it. Also had him install my aluminum power steering pulley I've had for like 7 years and just found again. I think it looks great and will be better then the plastic one they have from the factory.

Just a heads up; I contacted Wazee's Pulleys.
I was a little curious since the latest entry for anything C5 related was "projected manufacturing date of 2014".
A gentleman named Mike was quick to reply. He advised they did not have any C5 parts, and said their focus was on 94-95 Mustangs at this time.
So....nice looking pulley but not currently available from this manufacturer.
Went to ACE Hardware this morning looking for some large area washers to put under the engine cover bolts.......they actually had some chrome ones that worked great. Just what I was looking for. Can't see them very well in this lighting but they go well with my other shinny things.
