Just a quick update to this thread. 3rd option looks like it's going to work. I'll know more on Friday.
Also, Grape found out today he will be going to a new home. 😯 🤯 😎👍 Still with ME, but a new home in a new place. Our house here in Mesa, AZ sold today. It didn't even get listed and someone came through and looked at it last night. Today they committed to it and the contract is being written now.
Congrats! We're beginning to consider houses since we rent, but we're also still trying to buy more rentals and as soon as we see it they already have offers or are gone and we don't know it yet. We still won't buy sight unseen, but that is almost the speed of the market in the northeast as NYC continues to disburse in ripple effects.
I will see how the trip will be planned out. I'm not going to rush it one bit so that might be an option. We have most of our family in Nebraska so we may take that route. I will keep you posted if we do that.

East, WAAAAY east of Arizona. Grandkids are in the Nashville area so that's where we are planning to settle.

I told the wife I won't buy sight unseen either. Houses are selling like crazy right now, that's the case it seems everywhere. We're flying out to Nashville in a week and plan on driving around with a realtor my wife has contacted and see what's available. We know our place is sold now so we can make offers if we find anything. We also have a place to stay as our daughter lives there and we don't need to get in a hurry.

One thing I've learned over the years, rumors tend to be truth.....😯 😃 🤔 😎👍
Hey Mark, congrats on selling the house. Looking forward to having you here on the east coast (although you're still pretty far south of me). Looking forward to seeing the new spoiler.
It’s a sellers market. I sold my home in five hours, $17k over asking, they paid half the closing costs and it was a cash offer. Closed last week. I love real estate.
So you pulled the pin and will fly as a “non-rev”? Didn’t realize it had been since before thanksgiving. Apologies for doing a lousy job of staying in touch.
Can’t imagine nit seeing the Grape Ape out here at a show.
It's all good CQRT. I had an earlier retirement then was planned and everything just went super fast after that. I've been meaning to contact you also but we've been dealing with that covid crap the last month and a half. We are over it now so I'll make sure we can meet someplace for lunch or something soon. I may drive up to Phil's soon. Won't have the vette as it's in the body shop......again, for the last time I hope. After I get this 1st Pod filled I'll be in touch. Hopefully it will be full after tomorrow. Good hearing from you and I will for sure miss all the friends I've made here.

The bigger problem in Tennessee in the winter is the salt. If the weather folks even mention the possibility of snow flurries, they (Local and State DOT) salt the bejesus out of the roads, and unless you get a good frog strangling rain, that crap stays on the roads most of the winter.
Usually when we get snow it's completely gone in just a few days. Heck, we had weather in the mid 70's, thunderstorms and tornadoes, and 7 inches of snow, all in one week!
If they weren't so salt happy, I could literally drive year around here, but I won't get the Vette out in that crap.
The weather will for sure be a time thing to get use to again. Tennessee reminds me a lot of Nebraska without all the snowy cold winters. Once it's cold and snows in Nebraska it stays cold all the way until spring. I'm tired of the heat so it's time for the change. I'm sure I'll be happy out there.
On a side topic, the rear spoiler is coming along great. Almost ready to prime and paint. I think I've teased long enough about which direction I'm going with it, so here's a few pictures I took this morning of it. It's not bolted on at all so don't mind the gaps yet.
Specter Werks fiberglass rear bumper. Found it in the for sale section back in September of 2021 before it crossed my mind that I would need a different spoiler. Then when my SLP couldn't be fixed I contacted the person selling it in January. He still had it so I bought it from him. This was totally not in my plans to change the whole cover again but I believe it's the best looking one I have now that it's almost on the car. It looks like it will work without much fiberglass work. It did need some repairs done but nothing to major. Should be painted by next week hopefully.

Latest update and I really hope I'm not jinxing myself, but we have a new place to call home. This isn't a "Grape The Car" news but it's still "Grape The Home Squatting" news. We put in an offer and they accepted so now we hope and pray the house in AZ doesn't cause any issues. Pray for everything to go well and no more hiccups....
