Today was a great day. Nice, cool and partly cloudy. Finally got the ambition to start getting Grape summer fun ready. Suppose to rain and maybe more major storms tomorrow so I'll see what that brings. But I at least started getting him ready. I'm also working on a project I've had on the books since like 12-15 years ago. Talk about procrastination.....wow! But it's coming to the finish line very soon too. I should have that done by end of summer if I can make myself finish the wiring for it. Then it will be done. Not sure how it will look just yet so I'm not letting that cat out of the bag on it yet. So stay tuned.

Pat aka American Hydrocarbon wanted to see some updates that I've added to my car. I've bought a few things from him and he has always treated me right and did a fantastic job with my parts.
I call my car Grape Ape because of the color. Think it fits. Anyway, instead of hy-jacking his thread on "What's In SANTA's Bag", I would start my own thread and see what you all think. I know some if not most will not like some of the things I have done to him but that's okay. It's my car, my tastes and I like it.
So here goes.
This has all been in the last year or so.
Added a rear spoiler again after a guy around here stole my other one. Long story so I won't get into it here.
Added a front ACI splitter that scrapes everywhere pretty much.
This was taken at an all Corvette show in the spring. The door hinges were put on a few years ago. I used the Dream Car Custom hinges so I could reverse it and have the door panels intact if I decide some day to take them off. Just showing the front splitter. This is the picture some if not most will not like.
Here's a shot of the engine bay with some of Pat's handy work in it.
Added purple (black lights) to the interior. Looks very cool I think. Useless if you drop something at night though.
Also added the LED's to the dash and doors. Went with the white so I could read the words.
Front and rear chrome emblems. Had to put the front one through a roller at work to get the contour to match somewhat with the bumper.
Super bright LED reverse lights.
Halo LED's with Radioflyers sequencing mod. Get a lot of questions and compliments on those.
Put some black reflective tape on the red reflectors on the doors. I like the blacked look. There's a thread in here that gave me the idea. Thanks Biomech011.....
Link is here: Black Door Reflectors
Shot of the console Pat did for me before I installed the single DIN DVD player.
Dash Cluster Pat did as well. I took the steering wheel cover off so don't worry, it's gone.
Also added a single din DVD from Sound Stream. Works for now until I can afford the double din. Pardon the finger prints.
And last but not least, my brother stopped by for a visit on Halloween night. Scared the crap out of me when I went to the garage for a beer. Well, not really because I don't have a brother and I don't drink. I was just walking around the neighborhood scaring the kids.
So there it is in a nut shell. I try to do all the work myself so I can learn the car and know how things are put together.

Not that you were necessarily thinking of this model, but I remember you pondering wheel changes for some misty day in the future and.... CCW has apparently nixxed the SP500 model under Weld guidance. Again, probably not your style, but I was shocked that such a beautiful and classic design has been ditched.
Though I wonder if they would make replacement wheels. I mean.... they have the cad model and the CNC machines, so why not if there is money to be made? I would pay for that. I would not pay for ANY of their current wheel options for a street car as they appear to have gone fully modular multi-piece bolt on. I'll go Apex EC-7 for the street if needed in the future.

Thanks, it's sure been a fun ride so far.
I agree. CCW hasn't made anything like they use to. Not anything I'd buy anyway. Agree also about the old classic designs they had. I've been on the lookout, but not seriously, for the SP510's that look like what Larry has on his Z or the T10's. Probably won't ever get a different wheel until the ones I have start deteriorating. Wife needs most of my funds for her treatments and tests. She's doing very well so far too. Lymph nodes have all cleared up and her cancer spot has shrunk and been stable the last couple scans.

Hope y'all are doing well. This is gonna be a sad post but needs to be done. My wife has taken a turn for the worse last Sunday morning. Her physical ability is okay but her mental capacity has dwindled and I'm in the process of trying to figure out how and what to do next. Not sure how long this process will take but I need to step away for a while. I won't be making anymore videos for a while either. She needs to be watched 24/7 so I can't leave her alone at all. I am blessed to have her sister here with me as she's been helping me out a great deal with her, she is an angel. Very sad to see her like this and I hope she can recover from it soon. I will be back again but not sure when. Grape will be getting put back to bed tomorrow and put under the covers again until this ends too. I appreciate all y'all and hope you all stay fun and safe. God Bless and take care. Hope to be back on here again soon. LuvUAllMan

Mark as I have said it has to be tough for the both of you going through these ups and downs. Thanks to her sister you have some direct help and support. I am so sorry and will keep Darci and you both in my prayers.
God bless her.

When the plateaus come hard and fast it can be either a blessing or a curse. Your wife is most fortunate to receive the love and support both from you and her sister. I still work in the related field running skilled nursing homes and I see very few families or loved ones who take part in support, though I know there are physical and emotional personal limits which we all can exceed. Your daily acts of love will not go unnoticed by your wife. Never. I know you as a strong, capable man of good humor and that bodes well for you both - so going forward please occasionally take the time to put yourself first when you need to recharge or step away. We all do as we all have limits, and your returning refreshed can only be good for all.
I know what you face. Mark, you have my deepest and most sincere respect. Love to you both, and I look forward to welcoming you back.

Thanks everyone. We are still in the process of figuring out what happened and what if anytime can be done to improve her thought process. She's not really bad yet but I can't leave her alone. Time will tell on how this all plays out. Prayers are always welcome and appreciated. God Bless you all.

Thank you, everyone. Prayers are helping and I really appreciate it very much. It's been almost 2 weeks now and she's doing much better. Not completely normal just yet but I'd say maybe 85% there. Whatever it was seems to be wearing off like people and doctors have told me it might. So, Praise the Lord we're heading in the right direction and time will heal her. Thanks again everyone for the prayers.
