I got started on the cleaning process yesterday. Then my finger got in the way and had to postpone for another couple days. Tomorrow, it begins. And I'm going to finally get the exhaust tips straight too.
Back together and on the ground again. Now need some decent weather and drive it a few miles to get the suspension settled for an alignment. I also took the front splitter off so it wouldn't get damaged from the alignment rack. The exhaust should hopefully stay nice a straight now too. Had to use a new clamp on the passenger side.
Took him out for a little spin around the area this morning. Beautiful morning out so it's a good day for it. Temperature was only 38 when I went out. It drove great, felt great, suspension settled nicely and now I need to adjust the height to my liking. Backend will come up a turn or 2 and the front will go down a smidge as well. And of course dust it off again from the country road dust. 😒 Rear spoiler looks pretty good on it, I like it. I had to take the front spoiler off to get it aligned soon so the rack doesn't damage it. I talked to the shop and they suggested it pretty hard, so who am I to disagree.
Yeah I really enjoyed it. Good to be back to driving it again. I did notice that the rear view from the mirror has diminished quite a bit with that new spoiler too. I don't mined it though. There's like a 2 inch gap to see out the back now. 😎👍

"No, officer. I did not see you for the past five miles. Frankly, I'm amazed you kept up!"
I'm not saying anything like that could have happened, but if there would have been a car with those red and blue lights behind me, I may have had to explain some things. 😄 One definitely would have been playing dumb I didn't see him. Not sure what the other ones would have been off hand.

Thanks, Mike. Love your new ride. It was a close call for sure. The in-laws place is the only family that got hit. Broken windows in the house, west and north side of the house got hammered, car and truck got nailed, camper got some damage with the plastic vents on top but no windows broken and limbs everywhere. Now time for the insurance to be dealt with.
Sorry about your in-laws misfortune. Even worse will be dealing with the insurance company.
Yeah, I don't envy them on that part. They have 3 different claim numbers and their insurance company said they have $2500 deductable for each one. I told him that can't be right because the vehicles alone are only maybe $500 each. Maybe he meant $2500 total but I'm not sure. He'll have to figure that out when the time comes. He use to be pretty smart about all this stuff. But I'm figuring out that the older we get, the more our common sense leaves our brain. We'll try to help them when we can though.
