Being realistic in price similarity. The Mustang 5.0 gives you room for 4 and 415hp for little money. I would probably still not get a FORD though and go with a 05-06 GTO.

a Vette? Then what? Just a question for fun?

Yes the same price range.
I'd love to get a non-numbers '70 Challenger. Or some kind of cool older ('40s - '60s) car to hotrod.

I've had a CTS-V, so probably Porsche. Or Bentley, or something Italian. Too many choices.

This winter is making is think a Subaru WRX STI or a Lancer Evo Would be nice. I've always loved the viper. A new Boss 302 would be lovely.

as long as we're dreaming......
Truthfully; there is nothing I'd rather have than a 2015 C7 Z, but with automatic transmission (this is my dream here.....
).
I have some arthritis issues in my hips and hands, that mean my shifting days, are over.
I don't care how much foreign cars cost, a C7 Z with automatic, in Torch Red or Silver would fulfill my auto dreams, for sure.

Would NEVER own another Porsche product being screwed out of ownership by their engine failure (IMSB). Car has 20+ points of failure...in the engine alone! Course didn't find out about problems until AFTER purchase. Amazing how they can keep a 10% engine failure rate a secret!
As a friend told me, "How do you cure Porsche's IMS problems….buy a Vette!" $20,000 invested to go 13,000 miles in my case….doesn't happen to everyone BUT
YOU COULD BE NEXT! Best bet is NOT TO BET on Porsche. They advertise - Perfection! NOT! False! Perfection my backside!
Sorry, I would ride a bike or drive my work truck IF I can't have a Vette. Which explains were I'm at…with a dead Porsche in the garage on jack stands!
This illustrates my point….

I'd probably have a XLR if not a Vette.

That would actually be a very good choice. Sweet looking car too.
Surprised to hear the previous comments about Porsche. I don't know much about the brand but I would assume much better quality than that.
