Contact John Caravaggio in Toronto Ontario
I spent a cool 5 grand and got the interior of my dreams.

It's a high margin, union built, car that sold for $45k how do you expect it to compare with the foreign exotics? You want a real sports car, then drop $120k on a 911. You get what you pay for, and the vette is still a pretty decent sports car compared to the higher end sports cars out there. My GT3 looks like way more car than my supercharged vette, but the vette will blow the doors off my GT3.

Fair enough, but for $5-10k to do a full interior, I will pass and enjoy my sea of plastic.

I have a high end car also and I say the same thing about certain things that could be better..The trunk release on it doesn't pop the lid up,you have to jam ur fingers under it and lift. ..I like my vette just fine,I just think they cudda did a tad more with the interior..

I personally never really get the dash stroking thing, for me if it's functional and half way clean, I'm good to go.

I paid less for my BMW than my C5 and the interior is a much nicer place to be. It's really hard to explain but it makes the whole driving experience that much better. The C5 is a much better all out performer but I still prefer the BMW for a fun cruise. It handles quite nice too

Not happy with the C5 interior? Get in a C4 interior and you will appreciate the C5. I love my C4 but its a 30+ year design and the C5 is now approaching 20 years old in design. And I'm not bashing the C5 because I love them too!

I actually like the interior, the only thing I want to change is the seat covers but only because of normal wear and tear.

Dennis is killing me. I can't decide whether to do delaminating doors, the horrible yellowish seats to two tone or double din with leather wrap first.

You're going to do it all in time. And time is money after all. See how that works? Like Nike says, just do it

I guess you've never driven a Lotus Elise. That is a true "minimalistic" interior. But, people who buy Elises do not care about the interior. Actually, they like it that way.
When GM designed the C5, the top priority was reducing weight (same as Lotus). The thin interior plastic is the result of that. I bet you didn't know that the seat backs are fiberglass and the floorboards are balsa wood/ aluminum? Of course, costs needed to be controlled but, GM did something great with this car. They made it in such a way that the interior could be easily upgraded to whatever level you like. So, stop whining! Either upgrade it or move on. Life it is way too short to be stuck with a car that doesn't meet your expectations.

I still dont understand why so many people say these things are such poor quality interiors. I love mine the way it came from the factory. Its strides above the f-bodys I grew up in. So it might not be the best material but the interior itself is very driver oriented and has clean lines. I have no complaints with mine

I too love my interior. The ergonomics are perfect IMHO. Everything you need is within reach and I do not have any squeaks or rattles. That's good enough for me.

Kills me how some people complain about the most unimportant things with these cars. I doubt that anybody was holding a gun to your head when you bought it. Just sell it to someone that loves them as much as the rest of us ! Buy a Yugo and update it with plush interior if it's perfect interior that you are after. I see absolutely nothing wrong with the stock interior of the C5 ! It's a sports car not a Cadillac !

That's kind of like buying a beautiful new house, getting a good price, then complaining about the carpet.
