So decided to light Jake (my homemade exhaust enhancer plate) up tonight. Stopped by autozone and picked up a pair of those LED strip lights in red for like $12 or something cut the wires and soldered them together then ran the wire behind the bumper up to the tag light wires and tapped them in. Kinda diggin it. Sure shows his evil a$$ off at night.
Also headed over The Depot of Home and picked up some pretty/new stainless hardware. To replace the ugly/old factory screws in the hatch and doors. These are #8 x 3/4" stainless screws and #8 stainless finish washers. Looks much better to me. Especially for a total of like $10
Yep Yep… I was torn between 35% and 50% and Mr. Narco944 advised me that if I'm going to do it go with the 35% and he was totally right. There is very little difference looking out the front window during the day just not as much glare which is very nice with my sensitive eyes. I was a little curious as to how it would be at night especially with our lousy stock head lights. We went to a club dinner last night and much to my and my girls surprise driving home at 10pm there was very little difference looking out the front. So little in fact that she said OH I didn't even notice and totally forgot until you said something. From the outside though WICKED LOOKING! So I'm glad I spoke with Mr. Narco for his advice cause I would not have been nearly as happy with 50%.
Hey you given any more thought to Road Atlanta and the corvette corral the first week of October? Gonna be here before we know it. Not that I'm excited to go or anything.
Thank you, I get a lot of how to info from the forum and basically I just like to tinker

ummmm well…. it's not legal anywhere but hey it looks really cool though! Kinda funny actually cause how many motorcycles do you see riding around with dark (much darker than mine) face shields. I see bunches everyday and they never get a 2nd look. I have also ridden many bikes with tinted face shields at night and let me tell ya thats kinda scary sometimes.
My car is not a daily driver and honestly it feels much better on my eyes during the day. It really made no real difference in visibility during the day and I would not say enough of a difference at night to be any kind of a hazard. All that said though If I get stopped because of it I'm probably getting a ticket unless the LEO feels like being extra kind and giving me a warning. I accept that and I certainly wouldn't argue the positive points behind the tint if I do get stopped cause in the end him and I both know the only reason I did it was cause I think it looks cool.

I've thought about doing 70% on the windshield a time or two before, but my priorities changed a bit when I broke the transmission
Oem non tinted glass meters in the 70s. That would be wasting your money
Doubling it isn't a waste; it would still reduce glare as I desire it to without attracting a great deal of negative attention
Also, it wouldn't cost enough to worry about, as I already paid to have the other three done and the guy told me to have the windshield place remove the mirror so he doesn't damage the glass, then he'd would do the top of the windshield at no extra charge. I'm sure he would do the rest at 70% for about $20, which is well worth it in my opinion.
