Mr Pirateslife4me---Your ride looks sweet!! You know those braces are leaning against the bumper???? I would take a small piece of film
even alittle clear tape and wrap it around the brace where it contacts
the bumper. You don't want to rub the paint off.
You probably already took care of that. You have thought of
everything else and it shows --in your outstanding ride.
Why THANK YOU!!! and thanks for all your help and inspiration your always giving me. Basically I just look at your car every chance I get and pick things that I can afford to copy
I was able to mount the supports to where they are slightly off the paint and not actually touching the bumper cover but I didn't take into account for flex of the splitter or the bumper cover itself which may cause a little rubbing (obscure days of thunder movie quote "No, he didn't slam you, he didn't bump you, he didn't nudge you... he rubbed you. And rubbin, son, is racin"') You have a very good idea and I think a little clear film will be an excellent thing to do.
Got my window valet in today. Tiny little thing but pretty cool. Very simple in install and set up. Gonna be playing with my windows all the time now I can see this thing becoming as everyday useful as keyless entry
Couple pics from this past weekends car show gatherings. She's coming along. Been busy with kids over the summer. But plenty of more mods have been building up just waiting for a little free time.
Thanks y'all for nice words.
stealth sorry man, I'm bad about noticing that pm mail sometimes. I'll check it.
Friendly neighborhood spiderman got nothin on my friendly neighborhood gm delivery man! Got 2 of the 4 C6 Z06 shocks in today and got my resistors to fool my F45 system in mail on the same day! Tell me that's not a sign
Just read through this whole thread- wow! It is looking awesome!
I've had my C5 Corvette for just about 6 weeks now. Being able to see how awesome yours is turning out will be inspiration if I ever decide (and can afford) to add any mods to mine!

Thank you!!! Yours looks good, I almost bought a black car. The cool thing with black is that the carbon fiber stuff looks so good without painting on it. I saw a C6 the other day that had the rear decklid in carbon, hood, skirts, wing, everything was carbon and it looked awesome. The Mods do tend to become a bit addictive one thing leads to another and another and another. I started off with a plan of leaving the car stock other than just wanting a different exhaust. well….. change of plans LOL. Lots more to come!
Congrats on that gorgeous new ride of yours there is lots of help here if you/when you need some. Give me a shout anytime

Got tired last night so didn't get the steering wheel upgrade complete. I did get the airbag removed, the wheel pulled, and went ahead and removed the clock spring. What took the longest was grinding down some carriage bolts to fit the holes in the steering wheel so that I could pull it off, that thing was on there! I'm going to need to trim the plastic column covers a bit it appears and need to pick up a 2ohm resistor to fool the system into thinking the air bag is still connected. Anyway here is where I'm at.
If you look at the end of the bolts I put a line on them so I know which way the bolt is turned while hooked to the wheel and the puller this will make sure the bolts are in the proper position and won't pull through the aluminum steering wheel frame
