She's butt nekid in the rear. Was easy to get the emblem off, not so easy getting that old residue left behind off.

More of an UN-Mod than a Mod but the 50th annisversay badges are all coming off... the back one is history now time to get rid of these side badges from my 98... kinda surprised these are actually metal.

YES! I'm soooo excited, I got a set of 19x10/20x11 CCW SP16a's coming from a fellow Member in TX. Should have them next week. I need to get tires now and debating on 305's or 315's out back. I've also got flared fenders, carbon fiber C-Style rear wing, and canon fiber skirts from Pete coming in too. The fenders he said he had in stock so those shouldnt take too long , the wing amd skirts he is supposed to have april 20th and dropping my seats off for new foam and custom covers on monday. So lots about to be happening

Decided to paint my rear valance / bumper yesterday. I used black plastidip and then went over it with an optional coat of glossifier just to give it a slight sheen.... I kind like it and think it'll look even better once I get my wing and skirts and stuff in.

I made a carbon fiber look exhaust enhancer.

Then yanked the seats out to go to upholstery guy tomorrow.

Next yanked that 50th anniversary front badge off and replaced with a new correct one but did a little surgery to it first.

upgraded the TPMS reciever and key fobs tonight with the 01-04 ones. Was pretty easy and wow soooo much nicer. The fobs work from about 4 times further away and are half the thickness of the original one. I never did receive the wire plug that's been on order for weeks now. So made my own with pins and wires scrapped from a different plug and some heat shrink.

I would like to do this mod also, who did you order the plug from and do you have a part number or "technical" description of said plug so I can search and try to find someone that can actually ship it? I really don't want to try and mickey mouse something...not say'n that's what you did, but, I don't usually have much luck when I attempt such fixes.

Lov'n the rest of the mods you are doing. Enjoy the updates.

Hey man, All depends on where you get it. I got my parts from my local GM dealer because I get a discount. He was not as cheap as the big online GM parts people (even with discount) but I didn't have to pay shipping and I get it right now. Ebay is another source that you can find some of the parts way cheap sometimes. no piece is all that expensive but there are quite a few pieces. I wanted a 2nd key fob and the factory 97-2000 fobs are way over priced/big and bulky/and don't work all that well. since ive got new wheels coming any way might as well get the new sensor and just do the swap. you need the receiver, key fob#1 and key fob#2 (if you want two fobs) the wiring plug (unless you make one) and 4 new tpms sensors for your wheels.

Here is the link the thread that I used for reference.

I hear ya man, and trust me I would much rather have had the plug even at $20+ for silly little plug. I do have access to damaged GM cars and pulled a plug from the TPMS receiver from a chev HHR actually. itook it apart and used the pins which took a little force to get them to slide on. Can't really see it in the pics but i then slid heat shrink tubing over each of the pins and then heat shrink tubing over them all to keep them together. I don't see ever having an issue but if I ran into one of the correct plugs i'd probably still swap it out just so that it's actually correct. The original part number I had was GM part#12102635 well that seems to be simply not available any more at least not that I can find. I was given a new part number by fellow CF members of PT322 which I found online from $17-$36 for this little plug. Others have adapated plugs from computer floppy drives or soldered new wires directly to the board. I don't have spare computer parts laying around and didn't feel like soldering to the board but I do have access to wrecked GM cars so this was my workaround.

I've been himing and hawing over whether to put much money into this car or just enjoy it for a bit, do a few little things then sell it for a C6 but I really love the car and after seeing a sea of C6's at the Corvette Corral and only a handful of C5's mostly all stock I've been leaning more and more to just making this one into the vision that I have for it. Then I unexpectedly met a fellow CF member yesterday at a gas station his name was Joe and goes by Road Pilot here and good god almighty his car is wicked cool! I was just in awe of it's coolness and how much work and time he has put into it. That was it i'm going all in with my C5 I'd much rather have the C5 I dream of than a stock C6 Still love em both but I'll wait on the C6 until after i do everything possible I can think of my C5 and give it a whole S____load of Pirate attitude

Thank you! Nope never... next time you see it you won't recognize it. She is up on jack stands right now. Figure since it's down for two weeks having seat covers made. I might as well get busy. So it's getting drilled and slotted rotors new pads, ccw 19/20 wheels and 275/305 tires, More lowering, C6 splash gaurds, 01-04 tpms system. Have on order for next month carbon rear wing, carbon skirts, and flared fenders. I really like your splitter so think I may copy you and order one of those.
