That's true and hope they don't find them if you have to have emissions tested.

We are lucky here in Nevada, all they do is plug into the OBDII port and see if anything is a miss, That is it.

We are even luckier in Wisconsin where we don't have any testing at all.

My car is loud as fack and never had a issue here..just drive in higher gears when need be. Of course Troy cars looks like it's unleashing hell just cruising so he needs to be in stealth mode..I don't have emission where I live either. **** your kids and them being able to breathe later in life. Here is an old idle video with my cutouts. They are the low profile QTP ones. My car is a lot different now but they still work fine and the sound of an LS7 with cutouts, cam, and longtubes is to die for.

Im thinking of going the super cheap route and just cutting out a small hole on each pipe.

Any other cheap bastards gone this route?

If its too loud or gets too annoying I can always weld the hole shut again.

I have a set of QTP on my 87 pickup I built if you have a good exhaust already there just noise makers I picked up a whopping 4RWHP with them open, really wasn't worth the time money and hassle in my case, there fun when you 1st get them but that wears off really quick and they just become to loud so I never really use them any more.

Don't do it, open cutouts are extremely loud and the drone in cabin is ridiculous. I have e-cutouts and do enjoy them open occasionally, but on long cruises there's no way in heck Id like it.

They're not for long cruises, they're for annoying the neighbors.
But as long as they stay well clear of my neighborhood, I say go for it. Might as well put some 22's on too, in case anybody misses the point.

Yes ive noticed that they seem to be extremely loud, but I think that's because they have a HUGE opening.

I don't want too loud I just want to have some more of that V8 , down low GRUNT we all love.

So I was going to start with a hole like the size of a thumbnail on each side, and see how it goes from there.

Its just something to get me buy until I decide on which route I want to go with this car, theres so many options its hard to decide.
