I for one will never tell someone else what they should or shouldn't do to their own car because it's stupid. If you're concerned with cutouts that's fine but if you're here to tell people that they are uncool for wanting to do what they like to their car go away.

To the extent that you're addressing me, I'm not here to tell you you're uncool for wanting to do what you'd like to your car.
But if I think someone is doing something stupid, unsafe, or antisocial, yeah, I'm gonna call them on it, whether it affects me directly or not.
(And my remarks were not addressed at you.)

the only reason i dont like the idea of the whole is because the exhaust will only sound like a bad muffler and not like a performance exhaust should, drone even though I like a "little" with the whole it probably will be to much for my liking. your better off doing the "by pass" mod to your exhaust IMO.

i'm not picking on your or any thing just telling you how i feel about it.
That's a good point there, I didn't think of that , it does allow the engine to breathe much better im sure.

And I want to rephrase, I don't think all people with cut outs are "posers" I was just dragged into an argument once again and I spoke in haste.

I think for those that want a loud exhaust, but maybe need to tone it down at times, say at night time on a quiet street, or when a police pulls up, or whatever, they are fine.

Ideally I would prefer a nice exhaust set up like corsa but I don't wanna spend that money now, that's why im in this thread trying to learn of cheaper ways to get it done.

I get you with the holidays just passing and all, the by pass mod i think it will please you and sound better then just a hole in the pipe. I herd a local c5 with it and it was louder but still sounded ok, its going to be more work but its going to be worth over just cutting a hole

heres a link with pics and videos of before and after

Yes, you did speak in haste. Next time, instead of instantly going on the defensive and becoming belligerent because someone disagrees with you, try listening to those of who have more experience with these cars (and performance cars in general) than you do and look at things from differing perspectives.

Rather than cutting a hole and causing potentially irreparable damage I suggest removing the axle back section, put turn downs on the end of mid-pipe, and see if you can live with that amount of noise.
