At least it's good to hear that it's still going to be made... it's still on my wish list.

Rather, I should say it's on my "to buy" list once available.

I bought my c5 last may and have been working on it for the last ten months. I replaced the radio just to be able to stream music but I'm changing it again with a new Kenwood from Double D (should be here in the next couple of weeks).I have made numerous other changes to the car but the last piece that I want is this rear diffuser! I hope that it becomes available soon so that I can BE DONE!

Figured I'd update this thread too. These will FINALLY happen. My new manufacturer has a lot of work to fix the mess that G3 Composites left us with. I spoke to them today and they have slotted us in to their schedule and I have paid for the mold. They said from start to finish we are looking at 4-5 weeks and we'll have a diffuser in hand. These will be super nice since they'll be urethane, which means unlike fiberglass they aren't going to crack or chip if they take a hit, or crack from road debris etc. I'll update this thread with pics as I get them, so hang in there guys, we've waited this long but we will see actual progress because these new guys are legit, unlike G3 Composites!

A few updated pics. From what I'm told we should have a part a week from this Friday. What they've done is added a recessed tape line that way we have extra support. It will still use a mounting point through the rear vents on the bumper, and tabs at the section right above the exhaust where 4 bolts go, and also a small washer that will clamp down on the lower fender section, with tape this thing will be solid. There will be no drilling required and it will fit like a glove. They also tapered the fin that goes under the fender so it looks a lot cleaner and less bulky.

Yea, I already mentioned to them I want carbon done as well.

*Update*

They sent me more pics, but it was just a couple shots of them finishing some body work since it was pretty wavy and definitely not suitable to make a mold out of. I'm sure they have it sanded and smooth by now or will early next week and they'll get the mold made. I will follow up Monday if they still think we'll have a part Friday or so.

Another update!

Got word today that the diffuser is all smooth as glass now and they are making the mold. I asked if they still expected to have a piece done Friday and they said yes, it will be done Friday, so get ready guys!! I want to apologize for taking so long, I should have used these guys from the beginning, we would have had these a long time ago. I'm not sure how long until they can make carbon, I have asked but have no ETA.

I'm also going to ask if they can make a quick install video for us, I know it will be really straight forward but at least that way you guys can see how easy this will mount.

Well, got a call yesterday that it will be ready Friday for sure. I'm hoping later today I'll have some pictures of an actual finished diffuser. They are going to send me a bunch of pics and a video of how it goes on...I can't believe it's finally done lol. I wish I would have used these guys right from the beginning.

Anyway, get ready guys, I'll be throwing up a for sale thread shortly. I'd like to get a few of these out there ASAP that way you guys can post of your pics and overall feedback etc.

Also a big thanks to Rob for building the prototype. Without him this would have taken a lot longer to get completed.

Looks like an air/drag parachute more than it does a diffuser. Am I seeing this thing right?

I am considering buying one so I have a base to start with. Then cut it up and make it half way functional.
