road pilot, thanks for your input. An under pan has already been in the plans. Brackets have been made to attach the under pan to the leaf spring brackets. Not sure if I will progress this diffuser and extend the fins and add the pan or make another whole unit with the pan. I wanted two different versions to choose from. I will be meeting with a vendor next week and will go over the molding process and what will be the best way to go forward. I have strived to make this diffuser a totally bolt on accessory with absolutely no cutting or drilling to the rear bumper fascia. Both versions will mount the same. Not sure of what you mean by quasi- diffuser. I just wanted to make a piece that has been conjured up but never materialized. I've read and took into consideration forum members ideas and wishes on what they would like into the development of the piece I have posted. I have seen hinted pics of the one you have on your car. Would love to see more detailed photos of it if you don't mind sharing. Again thanks for the comments and input.

Looks really great so far. The version you spoke about with extended fins in real carbon is something I would buy day 1. Thanks for all the work you have put in to materialize something many vendors have promised and never delivered on.

looks much better black and gives a better idea what it will look like finished... do you plan to round the edges, it's hard to tell but it looks like they are flat in some areas with sharp edges/corners

I was kicking the thought around of rounding out the fins a bit. I will play with some adjustments to these and post back with pics. Thanks for the input. This is what I look for from you guys. Your feedback helps a great deal in my progress. Keep it coming.

me personally, I think it would look better with rounded edges as it would flow more with the c5... c6's tend to look better with sharper and more aggressive lines... but that is just my opinion, some might prefer the current design more... maybe you could finish it as is and then once you get the molds made you could modify that one to have rounded edges and make a mold of that one, that way you can cater to both tastes... just a thought, I have no idea how much work that would actually take or the process to get there

I think it might make sense to go a little softer on the non-functional version and a little edgier on the functional one. Just my 2c
Awesome job! A lot of time and hard work but it all pays off in the end. You can already count me in if the final product is offered in carbon fiber, that would look awesome!

OUR SAVIOR! Why couldn't a vendor have done this? Makes absolutely no sense that people have wanted this for several years and it seem like a fabled unicorn that we would ever see one for a C5, but here it is. I don't want to knock on the vendors, but common! This looks great with your setup!
