What us C5 guys waited for...

owning a c5 and c6 I can def tell where the difference lies ... In my Opinion ofcourse the best looking c5s and c6s are the ones without the Hatch glass (again My opinion) and C5s edge out that the hatch window and the front at alot of angles are unappealing,. the c7 tail is OFcourse argued on my sides as best looking to worst looking SOOOOO....
this c5 with c7 tail is Like a Bald man with a hairpiece .... neither is pretty But shoot some confidence and can be had either way.... The C pillars (am I calling it correctly?) from the c7 Def help alot to help with the Big hatch rear window...

Looks well done to me
What looks hideous are 4 exhaust tips, reminds me of the stuff youd see in front of the rear wheel of a van from the 70s...that and the C5-6 tailights are too large in dia...maybe to make up for the too tall plastic tail end. Different strokes

This Corvette Butt Transplant Finally Happened: C5 with C7 Rear Fascia
“Frankenstein”, “Looks like a$$”, “Eww”. Those are just some of the sentiments surrounding this C5 wearing a C7 rear fascia that member “Bandit 00C5″ posted to the forum. How awful is it to put a C7 rear fascia on a C5?

I'm genuinely curious how easy/ difficult that was to do. Seeing as the underlying chassis really isn't all that different between the C5/6/7, its at least conceivable that it wouldn't be terribly difficult to adjust the pickup points to match.

OMG...IMO this forum poll shows the extremely sad state of taste in the Vette Community. I think C5'ers in general have really bad taste.
So basically 48% of responders actually think it looks somewhat cool...and almost 20% actually want to do it to their C5's???
- I think this is pretty cool, on someone else's C5 Corvette. (48%, 69 Votes)
- This car needs to burn - now - and I want to gouge out my eyes. (34%, 50 Votes)
- Whom can I call to butt-transplant my C5? This is the best thing since the PDR! (18%, 26 Votes)

When the photos from California Supercoupes were posted on Facebook of this conversion I held judgement (I believe this is the same car) as the color of the car is black. I feel that black is not the best color to show this product off in and doesn't make for the best visuals for this type of "demo" car product.
Don't take this wrong; there is nothing wrong with the color black. However I feel a much lighter color would show the lines of the conversion better. Something like white or pewter; maybe even millennium yellow.
