I'd stick to what the door sticker says (roughly 30psi cold) or even less for drag radials if you like to drive aggressively, I run my mickey thompson's at 26psi cold... every tire is different though so you will have to play with them a bit if you decide to run less than 30psi and find out what works for your driving style... going too high or too low is a bad idea that will result in poor performance and premature wear

Thanks.
New Nitto INVO'S and black chrome wheels today. Seem to be a very good tire until GA's finest got me doing a speed test.

Hey guys, I realize I'm bumping an old thread (again) but there's lots of good feedback here on Nitto tires. I'm looking for a sticky street tire that will only be used in the summer in dry conditions. No track time. I'm leaning toward the NT05s. My power isn't crazy - just over 400 to the wheels but I also have a 4.10 gear with a manual and I like my polished thin spokes so I don't have much tire on the back. Is this about the stickiest street tire available? Anything else I should be looking at?

Also, and probably more importantly, how important is it to match the the tire sizes with the factory sizes? I don't want to mess with the vehicle electronics. I ask because the factory front size is 245/45/17 and this in not available in the NT05. They have a 235/45/17 and a 255/40/17. I'm guessing I have some wiggle room? Or should I focus same size tires? The NT555 and Invos have exact matches front and back but the NT05s appear to be the softest compound.

I appreciate any feedback. Thanks!

I love the NT-05'S on my car. Running 275/295 on Z-06 wheels. I've never had issues with rain...even downpours...just don't be crazy and they are fine. Dry traction is fantastic.

if you want straight line go with the nt05r and if you prefer to go around corners hard then get the nt05... you can run whatever sizes you want, just make sure the rears are at least .5" bigger in diameter and that should keep the traction control happy when it's left on... if you can't find the correct sizes in the same tire you can use different types with no issues, as long as you keep the same type tires on each axle you should be fine... I ran invo/ventus v12 up front with nt05r/r888/et street s/s on the rear full time for the last 5-6 years with no problems at all
