Just got a call from State Farm .. They are going to cover all the cost and give me a rental.. Didn't even need to get my insurance involved since he admitted liability .. Nice

Sorry about the accident. By the looks of his panel this isn't the first time he's hit something. That is bondo in that area and has been repaired before. Looks like glasses might help him in the future. Good luck with everything though.
Keep your head up op! I just saw my old chevelle the other day the paint job I had done over 25 years ago still looked good, if repaired properly you will never know it was hit

I know EXACTLY how you feel! I'm the one that made the front page of the forum a few weeks ago! Same color as yours, happened a month ago yesterday, and still don't have my car back. Looking at another full week after this! The girl who hit me said she had insurance, but didn't! My insurance picked up everything, plus rental, even got the $100 deductible instead of the $250 I should pay! Now for getting them to give me the difference in depreciated value due to now having an accident!! Might be a fight on my hands, but we'll see!! Plus med pay for my minor injuries. Glad you weren't in the car or hurt though!!
LMAO! We actually have a Jake who works at a local State Farm in our area!! When I called him and he said his name, I couldn't help but go there! Says he gets it all the time!!

Thats funny!!!
We recently had some roof damage from high winds and our State Farm adjuster who came out was named Jake!! And he had on Khakis!!

Hurts to see that damage to your car. At least the driver that hit your car did the right thing and took responsibility. Good luck getting it repaired and hope he has good insurance.
That's going to be pricy! But glad to hear the driver involved was an honest person and reported it. So many worthless criminals damage a car and they drive away. I wish they would bring back flogging as punishment...

So hopefully that crap is gonna get taken care of lol
Still haven't seen it in person .
If this cloud has a silver lining....this is it.
Shoot the whole damn thing now.
Sorry to hear, best of luck with repair.
how much was painted? It's nice of you to update the forum with the good stuff also, so all humanity is not lost, and an accident is not the end of the world as long as no one is seriously hurt.
They painted all 3 panels.. Bought a new door that came in worst than the door on it so it got returned for another one...
2 shops didn't want to work on it because all the panels are discontinued ...
The shop missed 2 spots. A small crack in the paint on the inside of the door and where the rear view mirror folds in under the Mirror.. I pointed them out but not enough to leave it at the shop for another week..
I have a lifetime guarantee on repairs so I can bring it in if anything else looks wonky.. The door sounds different shutting so I don't know if I'm being picky or its off.
If it's off and starts rubbing paint I will bring it in for a redo!
Just glad to be out of the rental and my trail rig ... Nothing feels like a Vette
That really sucks and I think about this every time I take mine out of the garage, but they did a wonderful job on the repair. I'll agree that it's important to get a good repair job, but the worse part is want is going to happen to your Carfax report. Having just purchased a 2001, I searched for a clean Carfax and then fewest owners. I did notice that an accident depreciated the cars I was looking at an extra $2000-$3000 and since all states have different laws, it impossible to tell the extent of the damage by the Carfax, just that it's been wrecked.
