As I did the test assembly I realized that you do need to remove both brackets behind the center console. That gives much more room for wires. So anybody doing this - do yourselves a favor and cut both brackets from the start (its a pain to do it, when all the new wires are routed into position.
The new shift boot from Ridies. Unfortunately the OEM plastic support ring for the shift boot had a crack in both sides (seems to be a common problem). I made some small aluminum support pieces and glued them to the support ring before installing the new leather boot. Install was very easy for those who haven´t done it. And now it is as good as new (and even better).
Also new leather boot for the parking brake. Not a difficult task, but you do need to figure out where to start, as you are going to mount the leather with staples around a metal trim bracket.
The armrest console turned out pretty well - and really fits the black/red theme.
And the custom 3-axis bracket for the head unit did the job - its positioned exactly flush.
Ready to enjoy…- love the subtle look with the glossy dash and a few other parts.
...and the extended HVAC wires works perfect...
The pearl effect in "Lamborghini rosso mars" really shines in the evening sun...

I do get lots of smiles and thumbs up here in Denmark - and it´s not that common to modify the newer corvettes in Denmark. I have only seen 3 other C5´s with wide rear quarters so far and most of the other C5 owners only changes wheels, exhaust, suspension and CAI. But there is a lot of attention and interest to the US scene in Denmark, and every year new nice projects and OEM restorations show up at car shows.
Here is a few shots from the week when it passed inspection (every 2nd year):
