I milled 0.6" off the short rubber pads leaving them 1.5" thick as seen in the photo. Now the jack and pads fit under the car with some clearance and there is enough rubber so the car frame doesn't touch the steel jack frame.
...really like the quick jacks... wouldn't mind having one... tho I went for the simpler, cheaper alternative... picked up a used kwik lift off of CL for $500. Does what I need it to do. Probably could've picked up a used lift in the same price range, but I liked the simplicity of the kwik lift. The "wheels-off-the-ground" capability of the quick jack is nice... and I can do it on my kwik lift as well, tho it's a bit more work. But for detailing & oil changes, the kwik lift fit my budget best... and little-to-no maintenance.

I e-mailed Quickjact and asked them what the minimum clearance is to lift the car and they said that for a light car around 3500 pounds there doesn't need to be any clearance, it's only for heavier vehicles.
My Quickjack arrived last weekend. I bought the 3500 it was simple to set up and works great. It is a lot more stout than it looks. It was on sale plus I got another $100 off from a promotional code I saw on a tv commercial. It also stores under my c5 when I am not using it.
Hey, what was the promo code you used? With a discount, I will buy one!
Also interested in a group purchase. ..... If position in the middle of the garage can a stock C5 drive over them without hitting anything under the car. ?? Just wondering since I do not have a large garage.
If you leave your jacks on the floor and park by driving over them, what happens when your 'Vette comes in from the rain? There's a good chance the lifts will be sitting in puddles.
The lifts themselves fold up quite flat and they have wheels to easily move them around. Even if you have a small garage they don't take up much space against a wall:
Told him Forum members live all over the US so not feasible. He said a coupon code just ended March 31st.
Maybe someone has better luck with getting a discount.
Couple new questions:
1) Is there any reason to look at the BL-5000EXT? I also have a Lexus IS250 as my daily driver and haven't looked at the minimal and max jack points distances, but can't the BL-5000SLX work?
2) My vette is lowered ~ 1.5 inches on stock bolts and cut bushings overall. Will the BL-7000SLX sit too low and I would have to drive onto 2 X 10 plywood to get enough clearance??
Sorry I tried searching the forum and also Google but I'm going to buy one soon and needed advice.

These look like they would be great for oil changes and basic maintenance. Do you get enough height/clearance to drop the rear cradle and do a clutch job and torque tube service or would I need more 'lift' to do so?

Whatever job you can do on jackstands, you can do with quickjack.
