Very good deal but anyone interested should jump on it quick - it will go fast and is likely a one-time deal between Costco and Quick Jack. It is not listed on the Costco.com website so it is probably just in-store and likely in just some stores.
I think you're right on this being a one-time thing. I went back the next day to pick one up and a manager happened to walk by. I asked him about it and he said he didn't even know they were getting anything like that and when he looked into it he couldn't get much info on ordering.
I was also the first person to buy one from this location lol. The cashier, front-end supervisor and receipt-checker were all confused about it coming in three boxes lol.
I'm not sure who'd you have to order from, but Autoweek had an ad for them telling of the limited Costco deal. There also is a 30 day free trial where you can return it for free, though I can't see anyone ever returning it once you had it. Quicklift also has multiple payments with no interest plans, too. Except yesterday a dealer friend let me put my car up on their 2-post lift and I really wish I had one of those for doing work. Only it would mess up me using the bay for my home business, whereas the Quicklift would not. This is something you could even use in your driveway if you didn't have a garage, as long as you could store it.
Just a reminder. TODAY is the LAST DAY to get the Corvettes at Carlisle show discount. So if you're thinking about it at all, give Chris a call (304) 629-4768
Quick update, and a question:
Costco is still selling these and you can order online for $1099.99. Not sure if shipping is included. But Home Depot is also selling them at the same price with free shipping.
Question is this: It freaks me out a little about getting under something that relies on hydraulic pressure. I KNOW there's a locking bar, so is this thing bullet proof? Would you even entertain putting jack stands on just for redundancy? Anyone know their safety record?
Thanks.

Safety should always be the first thing on your mind!
I've been using mine like crazy for all kinds of work. I used mine recently to lift my sister's Nissan Armada Platinum and my niece's Grand Cherokee. Both were rock solid once lifted and on the locks and I had no qualms about getting under them. There's a video on the QuickJack YT channel of them lifting some metal plates with one of the lifts. Once they had it on the locks they started loading more and more weight onto it to see where it failed. I want to say they had it up to something like 15,000 LBS on the locks with no issues.
Now, that's on their own channel, so take that as you will. I'm not affiliated with them at all but I feel safe enough to work under a properly lifted car once the locks are in place.

I made a crappy YouTube video on this subject that even caught the eyes of Bendpac.
If you care to check it out you will find your question answered on hydraulic pressure and my take on your other questions.
