Also I get a lot of trash from guys who don't race or still have completely stock bodied corvettes.
If you are actually taking your car to a track and racing it, then I completely understand the modification and give you props for choosing function over form. In your original post you did not mention anything about racing your C5, however, so I made an assumption that the new louvers were a very tacky appearance bolt-on done by some wannabe racer. I offer my apologies for making a false assumption. Please keep us updated on the track day benefits that you notice from the louvers.

EDIT: Bolt-on louvers really are ugly though. LOL!

Haha the greatest feeling in the world is to put down someone with a mouth as you leave them behind

Thank you but no apologies needed I didn't say anything of drag racing or anything so yeah that would lead me to the same assumption lol
and I will keep the updates fresh, so far run a 12.4 in the quarter and top speed is about 200 (I've gotten to 192 then slowed down). My QT is terrible but I'm having traction issues on the stock size rims, need some wider ones for grip, and also change my gears. Other than that I don't put down serious loads of power either, but will change once the new engine is put in. When i first took it to the track it ran 12.8 at fastest until I got a tune, new drag trans, and just some support mods to help the engine life alittle. Maybe I'll hit 12.3 or 12.2 with the need hood and not as bad dragging headlights up front. (yes my frog eyes still drag a tad but not as bad as the stock ones lol)
