Poor Bill, panties in a wad because I pointed out his error. A paragraph of insults. I'm glad I never served with you. You seem like a petty little man.

You could not carry the jockstrap of the guys I served with. I was in my first year of College and joined the army through OCS and became a Military Advisor MOS O35 Strategic Intelligence. I did two tours in South East Asia, Chasing NVA into Cambodia and Laos. And never with any acknowledgment or support from the State Department.

I was wounded during my second tour and medivac'd to Japan and then released from Duty after 4 months. I returned to the States to complete one of two engineering degrees. BSME and also A degree in Industrial energy management engineering. One from Rowan University and the other from Georgia tech. IN 1993 I joined the Corvette studio design team moving from another GM platform. I retired in 2001 and have seven proprietary designs in every C5 on the planet.. I started working on the C5 project in 1993 through launch in 1997 then 3 years Of Engineering field support for the C5 plateform and field debugging.

IN October 2013 I fainted in the shower and broke my back.. I was diagnosed with advanced stage cancer in 2013 and given two years to live. I spent 31 days in critical I lost half of my stomach, my esophagus, and my vocal cords. There are a few people on this forum who have held my hand throughout this whole ordeal and contacted me every day in the hospital and supported me while recovering. The cause of my cancer was " Agent Orange".. I had no symptoms for 50 years. IM in remission now due to a fantastic clinical trials team that is moving closer to a cure for this type of cancer. I take 3 poisons 3 times a day and a host of other meds to keep me going and cover the side effects . IM two years over my expiration date. I could die tomorrow and I would not feel cheated.. IM married 50 years to the same woman , I have a son who is an engineer like me, and a daughter who is a doctor. and 5 grand children... Never had a minutes grief with any of them...

OK that's me...

here is my daily regiment of meds.. some 3 X, some 2x some are class A Narcotics. So If at times I have a low tolerance for BS and disrespect , maybe now you may see why.

Can I say thank you for your service you made sacrifices for our great country that most would not. But your story is not a excuse for your behavior. You are a strong man and it is obvious you still have fight left keep fighting. Cancer is a fickle bitch I have seen it take to many down but from my experience in what I have seen it does not win until the person gives in to the fight. Like I have said before I have respect for you I just don't like your attitude. Once again thank you for your your service.

I love how people with zero experience in law enforcement feel qualified to opine on how the job should be done.

That's like saying people with no experience being a waiter/waitress shouldn't have opinions on the service they receive. Or people that don't cook shouldn't have opinions on how food made by others tastes.

As an occupation that deals directly with the public, the public's feedback is important and must be taken into consideration. Addressing concerns and needs fosters better relationships after all, if the public can trust the police, the police's job becomes easier. If the public distrusts the police, the job becomes harder and much more dangerous, as we are currently seeing.

Besides, they are called public servants for a reason. One thing people often forget is that anyone that works in any branch of the US government is there to serve the people. They are not our overlords. We are the ones that hire them, and in a sense we are their managers and supervisors. It is our duty to hold them accountable to that, and far too few people actually do so, especially for the higher levels of government. We forget that our government is "of the people, by the people, for the people." Law enforcement is a part of the government.

People with experience in law enforcement might know how they want the job to be done, but not necessarily how it should be done. Society decides how it should be done.

I know If one of my children were stupid enough to air his stupidity in an on line forum , I would not be too proud of them either..
The OP said I don't know him... That's where he is wrong,,, Oh I know " Him" very well... Children who know it all, and are never at fault and are the victim of a conspiracy against him because he is young.. Being young and being stupid are not synonomous.
I never said I don't know him... Nor am I a child. I am 42 years old And merely started this thread because I was upset that a LEO pulled me over and warned me for doing something that they Constantly do to me. It seems completely hypocritical to me. While trying to understand 1/10 of what they have to do on a daily basis? I would have signed and paid the ticket, if he issued me one. And still said yes sir, thank you sir. but that doesn't mean I agree with it.

Thank you.. But... my point to the disclosure was there are reasons, medical reasons, ( Experimental drugs cause severe mood swings ) why I have a short fuse when it comes to someone with poor driving skills, and their potential to hurt others..( I've had personal impact from such poor habits, or childish behavior. ( loss of My Friend Jim ) I've found that sometime, Not necessarily in this case, people will come here and brag about their poor driving skills ( street racing )as if " They were the Victim" of some rogue Cop's abuse of power.

I've on occasion come here and bragged about my marriage, my wife, and my kids and grand kids..

You don't get to be married to the same woman for 50 years if you are a rude, mean and insensitive ahole.

I can be mean and insensitive to some who is an ahole, or someone who disrespects me..

Ive seen a lot, and have done a lot more in my life.. I come to this forum everyday to help people and continue my commitment to give back to this community.

This forum is a very small part of my day...I can check in from anywhere, like most. I'm not as mobile as I use to be but I still go to my gun club on Sunday, and get off a few dozen rounds just to keep my EDC edge. Still hoping to get back in the woods to continue my years of wildlife photography.. And hoping to get back to the gym.. chances are I wont be running 30 miles a week like I did before my health issues kicked in.. Prior to 2013, I was going to the gym 6 days ( 2 hours of circuit training) a week, and running 5 miles a day. I became a gym rat after retiring.

A God inspired story.. I was taking aspirins for my knees @ 68 years old.. things start to wear out.. The aspirins gave me an ulcer.. ( I had no symptoms of an ulcer ) the ulcer was the reason I fainted in the shower.. when they took me to the hospital they scoped me and found the cancer.. Had I not broken my back , they never would have found it. Many People die from this cancer without any symptoms. No one goes into the doctors and asked to be scoped. for no reason...Many people die from this cancer in their 50's and 60's, because for many it is non-symptomatic and is undetectable. Just a little more disclosure.

An FYI. Kim Kardashian's father.. Robert Kardashian, ( one of OJ's Lawyers ) died of this cancer at 58 years of age. it was non symptomatic.

ET, thank you for your service. I was there with you fighting Charlie and NVA. I was lucky not wounded but should have been that or dead. A recoil-less rife round hit 3 feet from me but did not go off. Life changing moment!.

After 51 years of marriage, my wife is now telling me that I have mellowed. I now try hard not to offend someone even though they offend me. I now take the higher road (really hard sometimes) on line and in person conversations. Keep up the fight. The medical community is getting real close to conquering the evil cancer. Please keep giving the C5 community your expertise. Invaluable.

I know first hand of the devastation cause by a 106mm recoilless rifle..

Funny all this talk... Literally ,yesterday I was at the local grocery store.. I was checking out and the cashier reached out with her hand, to shake mine.. Probably in her early thirties, I didnt know why and as she shook my hand she looked at my hat with my retired Army pin and said thank you for your service..

Its been a giant leap since returning in 1966 in boots bloused and dressed uniform in the Philly airport, only to be spit at by protesters calling me a baby killer
I was down in Nashville with my wife for a week, and everywhere we went, people in the hotel, in the elevator and people at restaurants would shake my hand or thank me for my service.. I'm usually wearing a small army retired pin. Its a bit embarrassing at all this recent attention, but I wear my service proud. So many places today are recognizing our service, Even the TSA at airports.. Gate attendants etc.

All the hero's came home in a body bag. The rest of us are just survivors, hardly worth the notoriety. It is heart warming to know that this respect has turned around over the years.. the 60's and 70 were not so kind to us.. This new found respect has only been noticeable over the last 8 to 10 years.

Thank God for Military Tricare for life.. My last cancer surgery and subsequent vocal cord replacement was 559,000 dollars. The Military paid 429,000 dollars, the University of Pennsylvania said I owed them nothing and said thank you for your service..,

I salute all the brave men and women who chose to server and are now serving our country.

Im a little emotional at the moment. I don't like to reflect back to those times as any combat vet will attest.. IM one of the lucky ones not to have contracted PTSD.. when I came home, I went right back to school with a new mission, to get my degree.

Heart on sleeve today, and thanks for " Your service "
