I'm no my third new corvette.....I have a severely handicapped now adult son...guess what? After the first corvette I had sat in the garage and only came out on sunny weekends...and I sold it to the next owner for half what I paid for it and it was like brand new...I said screw that...and the next was a z06 I use daily and enjoyed and now I have a c6 z51 m6 that I put on114,444 miles...
So far..trouble free.....the car looks and drives as good as new...it's in mint condition and it is probably not worth a lot on resale because of the miles...and guess what...who cares..
It drives like new, it looks like new...I'm having a blast.
I bought snow tires and use this corvette as a daily driver...
I retired a millionaire a decade ago...and I'm just trying to make my autistic sons life the best I can....and mine too...we drive up and around bear mountain and the seven lakes in the corvette...we drive in snow storms....we do and go where we want when we want to go..
I'm never gonna be one of those people that say I shoulda coulda woulda....
I'm able to I did the best I could...
Enjoy the cars...these are great cars but they are still just cars...
Don't save them for the next owner....
What's it worth a couple grand more if you just store the thing in your garage?
We both drive the same looking Vettes and found an easy way to keep it looking real good. I use Meguiar's Waterless Wash and Wax. Its so fast and easy, I work my way around the car with a different panel every few days. The roof, then the drivers door, then keep going around. It takes five minutes a panel.
For me, I use Meguiar's Ultimate Quick Detailer to keep it showroom clean. Five minutes per panel is about right.
That's why I bought a Corvette with 186k miles, so I don't have to worry about driving it. Even if I put 50k miles on it in 2 years, that won't affect its value much. I live in Phoenix so I could easily daily it all year round.
I've been driving my Vert for 18+ years now. There's nothing equal to driving these Vettes other than XXX. I just love taking it out with no plans, just to enjoy that feeling. Makes me feel free and young (59).

Just got back from buying some feet shoes at the town near by (12 miles) and after taking the vert over the back roads to get there and back, 60 miles total, I was still sad to turn the key off.
At least you made it 62. My hit the road jack firing was at 61. Best thing every happen to me.
I did 24 years in the Military then another 17 years for the government and decided to give it all up after 3 heart attacks. Now raising my two 13 and 16 year old grandsons.

Agreed. I use Rejex 2x/yr and Maguire's WW&W all the time. Amazing shine.
