Nice!! That's what anyone could hope for when getting into a salvaged vehicle. What was the reason of the title being salvaged?
one report says body damage no airbag deployment , another says mechanics lien . I have had door panels off , had the liners out of the wheel wells . had the interior out and can find no sign that it was repainted plus all body panels that I had off show the same manufacture date .
I bought a salvage C-5 about 7 years ago.
I was a fresh water flood car.
My friend and I changed out all the wiring, the body was excellent.
It had around 10,000 miles on it when I got it.
Seems I paid around $13,000 7 years ago,
It was supercharged, 6 speed, vert, triple black
I now have around 35,000 on it./
I love the car and wouldn't part with it for $15,000.
It is the car in my pro pic.
My friend and I know how to turn a wrench though,
I have only one electrical problem since rebuilding, a mouse got into the wiring harness behind the tail lights and chew the trunk release and GPS (pioneer DD radio) antenna through. Simple fix.

I also have a C-7 (good title)
So you paid about half what a non salvage car would have been? That is the most I would go.

If he initially paid about half the car still needed work done which cost time and money and you don't know exactly what you are getting into so there is risk. But when he finished the car is now worth more then he paid because it has been sorted out so the end result is not half price of a non salvage.

That is why the most I would pay for a salvage car is half what a clean car would be. Sorting it out cost money.
OP, I am in Southern California. If you need an experienced set of eyes to look at any of the C5s you are interested in let me know.
Send me a PM to make arrangements.
