I've been using a bottle of Techron with every tankful. I wonder if I'm using too much??
Fuel washes slightly into oil during normal engine operation. Techron concentrate will thin that oil out. At least, so say the internets. This is why I follow the recommendation to change my oil shortly after running a bottle through. YMMV.
Personally I think it's a waste of money to use a bottle with every tank unless you use some seriously dirty gas. Just use top tier detergent gasoline (I like chevron for no major reason other than that most chevrons don't make my car scrape when getting in and out ...) and run a bottle through every year or maybe every six months.
And another vote for techtron. I like to use it in a tank of gas in late fall before storing the car for the winter. I think the injectors and fuel line don't get junked up while in storage.
