Got teased about C5

I have an '02 EB coupe and an '11 TR GS coupe. Both have a few tasteful mods (wheels, brakes, etc). The main comment I get is 'beautiful car!' From time to time, someone will ask .... 'why two?' 'Because I love them .... and I can!' End of conversation.

A friend of my ex wife said this to me & I told her this car isn't made for large women...…..Then I stared at her
Needless to say her fat azz & the ex wife are history now. New wife loves the car and all hotrods and said we can get a new C7 if I want too. I told her I am quite happy with the C5. She really is a good girl & a great wife!

I know that the phrase "mid life crisis" is well established. But I never really bought in to the "crisis" part of it.
Sure, some folks dread turning 40 or 50 ... whatever midlife is these days... but for me the things I did (and continue to do now at 58) are because I CAN do them. Not because I feel I'm in a crisis and HAVE to do them.
So when someone once asked me if my Vette was my "midlife crisis car", I chuckled and responded, "nah...it's really more like my midlife celebration car!"
