I hope to get a C8Z... I have no interest in a C8. I will be keeping the C4 LT4 and the C5Z and hopefully have a C6Z before the C8Z is out. I should have my Z28 paid off allowing me to afford the C8Z if its priced like the C7Z. I decided a while ago. I would rather have a bunch of $15k cars then one $100k car.
Can’t see switching for a 495 hp boat anchor without a manual option.Didn't care for the style either. My c5 is perfect in my eyes and it makes over 700! It’s lighter quicker I would even wager it’s more efficient.

If I still had my C5, yes, I would consider swapping up to a C8. I like the looks and the performance that goes with it. I'm sure there will be a number of C5 owners that make the switch, just like they did when the C7 came out.
I would never buy the first year of a new model, even when they had the traditional front engine/rwd. Now with this total clean sheet redesign I can only imagine the problems the 2020 will need to sort out. Hope for the best for new owners of the c8 but I wouldn’t be surprised if they get off to a rocky start. I would love to get into a c8 in a couple years, really love the design and the new mid engine layout. I’d really love a c8z with the rumored 4.2 TT v8 though. That sounds like it would be a seriously badass car.

My thoughts exactly. My wife was mentioning last night that we should look at one when dealers get them in. I said I'd rather wait a couple of years, especially since this is a brand new platform. Plus, I'm curious to see what they'll offer for other models and trim levels.
I am definitely going to do just that. I can only have one impractical car and I only have one spot in the garage so I have to sell my 2003. I plan to pay for the C8 in cash and take museum delivery. Although, I like having anniversary models, so I may get it in 2023.
Once they depreciate into the 40's I'll take a look at one ... by that time all the reviews/recalls/issues will be apparent as well...until then my C5 Z can still get me in plenty of trouble.

I think why why so many people were opt to switch to the c7 from the 5&6 is because of the close resemblance. Plus the kept adding more power that same time. C8 is a whole other ball game with style and engine power, lacking a manual! Just my opinion!

The C7 doesn't bear a close resemblance to C5's or 6's. It's more outlandish than the C8. Lol.
