I usually walk up to the driver's window, stick my gun in his face and yell, "Get the F out of the car!".
Oh wait, this is about jacking up your car! I just bought a Quick Jack but haven't used it yet. I'm hoping it will work for most stuff but will eventually buy either a four post lift or a two post.
I have the Harbor Freight "Daytona" jack and absolutely love it. Low profile and long, so it reaches the cross members without any issues, makes jacking up the car so much easier, and a lot cheaper than the name brand jacks. Heavy, but built like a tank, I have full confidence in it.
While this isn't technically "jacking" the car up, I use a set of Rhino ramps ($34 at Wal-Mart) to change oil. They give me enough room to complete the job. I aslo have a low profile jack if I need to go higher. I find the C5 isn't as bad to jack up as my Mustang GT.

Thanks for the review. I need to buy one of those jacks.
You're a day late and a dollar short. Hopefully you're a better speller than he is "Hope in and drive off" lol!
Well, you should see some of my spelling when sending from my phone, darn autocorrect! WORSE YET! You should see the messages that get sent to other people that were intended for my wife, I am famous for that. One friend wrote back and said "I always knew you felt that way about me, you didn't need to put it in writing!"
Rhino ramps in front, jack with homemade crossmember support in the rear. Support rear with with jack stands. If you don’t need front wheels off, great, stable setup.
I've considered the Quickjack, but still just can't justify spending $1k for something that won't be significantly better than the "tools" I already have and/or really not save much more time. A Harbor Freight low profile jack that lifts just as high as the quickjack, a 2x6 for each subframe, a couple pairs of jack stands, and a hockey puck will get the car in the air in about 5-10 minutes (and it isn't a back breaking job). And a set of rhino ramps with some home made "pre-ramps" work just fine for oil changes or other projects. Something that really turned me off from the Quickjacks after really thinking about it was 1) having to find a place to store them in the garage with already limited space and 2) the weight of them (they're not light and maneuvering them around sounds like more of a chore than I was hoping). If you have space and can leave them on the ground when not in use, probably not as big of a deal.
Got my Quickjack last month at Costco for $899.00. Works great and lifts the car easily, I just need a new creeper to help me move around better. I have an extended reach low profile floor jack from Harbor Freight that works fine if I want to just pick up one end of the car but I’m thinking it won’t see much use now.

Did you buy that from the warehouse? I saw one online but it was 1200 bucks.
Is it OK to Jack up just the rear to work and then secure it with blocks and or Jack Stands. Maybe I'm being paranoid but could the car slip forward because of the way the car is angled down in the front? Also putting the cars frame under stress is another concern I had, mainly lifting one puck location fairly high.
Jacking up one end or the other is just fine even at a pretty steep angle so long as you chock the wheels that are on the ground to prevent the car from slipping forward or backward.
I got my Quick Jack at Costco too. I didn't have a Costco Membership so my DIL in Phoenix ordered it and Costco delivered it to the house in PA free.....still at $899.
