So the C7 seats drop right in and use the same mounting points as the C5 seats correct? Also, can the C5 seat belts be re-used or are C6 seat belts required? If the C5 seat belts are re-used, do you need to trim or modify any of the C5 seat belt moldings or trim?
i spoke with apsis yesterday and they make some positively stunning seats that are fully functional bolt-in's to the existing gear, allowing for full use of the power diver's side. they start at $5.5k/pair (and you have to return ship your original seats) and go up from there, which unfortunately is outta the budget. here's a pic/link. sooooo nice. http://apsisusa.com/c5-leather-parts-superdeluxe-seats/
In my case, that's about 50% of the value of the C5. Think I'll pass...
Hi
Just spoke to Dan at vettworks, he told me that he is going to receive 40 of the needed connectors either today or
Monday. Once he gets them he will start to build the harness and should be shipping them soon. I know that a lot of us have heard this before but he says he got a shipping notice for the parts. I guess we will have to wait for a few more weeks
I already got mine a few weeks ago from him, ordered sometime in november I think.
I have installed the drivers side seat in my C5 convertible and the trim piece that runs along the bottom seat(covers the controls) is hitting the seat belt mount on the floor. This is pushing the trim piece into the side of the seat. Anyone else have this issue? If I you have experienced this issue, what was the fix?
I’ve installed C7 in my C5 and have now moved them into my C6. I posted several photos in a thread last year sometime.
You’ll need to remove and trim that piece. You’ll also discover a few other minor modifications that are needed.
Also, I discovered the “male” side of the C5 seatbelts wouldn’t lock into the “female” side of the C7 seats so double check yours.
Thanks, I trimmed it a little, but it is still hitting. Do I need to remove the back half completely? I have to have my seat all the way back and that’s where my problem is coming in.
on the seatbelts, I am swapping my C5 female side over to the C7 seats.
