I’ve purchased a set of C7 seats for my C5 but I just ran across a thread from a few years ago that mentioned they won’t fit in a C5 due the width as well as the larger/thicker back. I’m confused now.
looking forward to seeing yours, the set I thought I was getting was a scam so my search will continue.
i spoke with apsis yesterday and they make some positively stunning seats that are fully functional bolt-in's to the existing gear, allowing for full use of the power diver's side. they start at $5.5k/pair (and you have to return ship your original seats) and go up from there, which unfortunately is outta the budget. here's a pic/link. sooooo nice.
Thanks a bunch. I've been scouring this topic all over the place since I really want to keep my C5Z (been debating selling, but keep wafflilng on that), and really appreciate forum member guidance. Is great to see the C5 section still alive & well--I've been around here a long time, first with my '99 and now with my '04. Crazy to think GM is on it's 3rd generation of Corvette since I first joined here, which was circa '00, but it was under a different screen name which I forget.

Nice thread, I see the C7 seats going into a Coupe, has anyone added the C7 seats in a C5 Z06? I understand the driver's side will be a direct fit, (plus wiring) but what did you do for the passenger side of the Z06, since that does not have a power seat connections?
Did you run power to the seat? Did you use a slyer set up on the seat? Any details would be great. Thanks
These are the ones I found on ebay. They are dirty now from sitting around. I paid 1295 for both seats. You just have to keep checking back yo find a good pair
Has anyone done this in a C5 Z06 with the non power passenger seat? Can you just unbolt the C7 motor and unbolt the C5 slider and put the C5 slider on the C7 seat? That would be great if it were that simple.
jdmvette did the swap already. It's a direct bolt in. And I just bought a set of red.
The issue is the harness, either you make your own to convert from the c5 to c7, or get one from Vetteworks. They're a little backordered right now, but he's made a harness that is plug and play, and retains power adjustability (older versions defeated the telescoping steering wheel function, but he's developed a harness that doesn't ).
The only thing you'll lose is the memory functions. Don't think there's a work-around for that.
Hi
Just spoke to Dan at vettworks, he told me that he is going to receive 40 of the needed connectors either today or
Monday. Once he gets them he will start to build the harness and should be shipping them soon. I know that a lot of us have heard this before but he says he got a shipping notice for the parts. I guess we will have to wait for a few more weeks
