Hey guys, I have a '00 Nassau blue FRC with chrome C5 z06 wheels. I had a set of pilot sports put on last year in January and they didn't last 10k miles on it simply driving to work. It's a for sure thing that I have a suspension issue somewhere, but I would like to get recommendations for an all season street tire that can hook up to a full bolt on C5. I live in Miami and use my FRC C5 as a daily driver. I saw the BFGoodrich G-force Comp-2 A/S on tire rack but haven't read any reviews on them yet. Hopefully they're not noisy.
Current tire size is 245/45/17 front and 275/40/18 rear.
I have Bridgestone potenza's front and rear on factory speed lines, they're pretty darn good for the price, much quieter than the run flats, I just keep a can of Fix-A-Flat in the trunk!

how many miles do you have on them and how are they holding up? My pilot sports are already bald at 10k miles on them
Josh, have to ask, why All Season tires if you're in Miami? Why not just summer performance tires?
Anyhow, I've had Pilot Sport Cup 2's and they wore out pretty quickly. Now I'm running Coopers RS3 and I love them. They warm up quickly, grip super well, and wear out nicely (not too fast). They even did great at an HPDE event I went in Homestead Miami Speedway for a weekend (and I'm still running same set, haven't changed them yet). C5 is my daily and I'm in Miami too. However, I'm not running stock C5 size. I'm running the staggered stock C6 Z06 tire size, but I'm conservatively pushing north of 430WHP.

I drive 30+ miles a day and I barely have time to do any type of performance driving so I want something that can last me a good amount of time and still hook up. I need to get my car tuned, but I have a vararam b2 cai, LS6 intake, long tube headers, gutted cats, x pipe and magnaflow catback
I was also looking at the firestone indy 500s

I drive 30 miles too daily, Mon-Sat. Dadeland to Hialeah and back. I’ve heard good things too about the Indy 500’s. I got the Coopers RS3-S because of a crazy good deal at that time in tirerack, but they also happen to be a great tire. Their temp range of usable grip really impresses me. Not bad in the rain either.

Are those tires quiet on the hwy? They are the Zeon Rs3-g1?
I drive down from kendall FL to Homestead FL, Exit 1 every day. The rain we've been getting hasn't been good either

Zeon RS3-S, from the sidewall. 300AA treadwear. 105Y rated. Good even over 180mph. Don’t ask me how I know .
If you’re on the fence, I can show you my ride in person if you want one day. If you get a good deal on them, get them. I was lucky to get all 4 staggered tires for less than $600 shipped. It was a ridiculous blowout sale.
You say C5 Z06 wheels-- are they knockoff or original. What I'm really getting at is what are the dimensions-- 17x9.5 and 18x10.5 respectively? Or base sizes.

Chrome knockoffs
17x9.5 and 18x10.5
What are the widest tires possible on the sizes if you know? Stock ride height

That'll be cool one day! they're about $730 now on tire rack
These cars are not great on rear tires. I've had sets from 3 different companies and have never gotten more than 11000 miles out of the rears. 2 sets of GY, 2 sets of Kumho's. I have run Michelin but haven't put that many miles on.

I ordered new ball joints, control arm bushings and tie rods for my car and plan on changing them, rear inner tie rods are a pain to find and the dealership is the only one that seems to have them for $160 + tax.
I have a set of Nitto 555 G2's on my Coupe, they are great. This is my 4th set of 555s, get around 40K on each set. Good in the rain, quiet, no traction issues at all, but that car is stock.
I have had Goodyear (OEM), Firestone and Michelin A/S. The Michelins are much, much better than the others. I put less than 30K on the OEM Goodyears and changed them because they got hard and very "slippery", especially on wet roads. The Firestones (summers) did well - lots of miles and no issues. Unlike the Goodyears, they were good in the wet. The Michelins really are excellent. Better grip than either of the other two and they have even got me home in snow a number of times - I used to use the C5 all year round until I retired, and in winter here we have snow and ice.

You nave to have either a very heavy right foot or an alignment problem. I have found that my tires wear out quite evenly front to back. If anything the fronts go first. I expect (and get) about 30k or more from a set of tires

Realistically up front you can run 255/40 or 275/40/17. Rear 285, 295 or 305/35/18. 275 front / 305 rear is a good combo, but usually ones comes in race tires. 275 tire with a 285 or 295 rear will look fat, so I would opt for 255 fronts. So that leaves 255/285 or 255/295 combo.
The best performance all season tire is the Michelin PS A/S 3+..... it appears this is available in 255/285 combo and is currently having a great sale that ends today!
I just recently put Z06 Speedlines on my '99 convertible. I have the optional stock Magnesium Sport wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3s but wanted to use those only in the colder months (October - March) and run the Z06 wheels with summer tires April - September. I gave up on run-flats years ago - just carry a small pump, scissor jack, patch kit, and AAA card.
In researching the options on Tire Rack, I looked as these options (prices were as of April but were still the same for the Continentals, which I purchased a couple of weeks ago). These Continentals are the first non-Michelin tires I have put on any of my cars in almost 25 years. Only had them a couple of weeks but so far, so good.
