OPTIMA Red Top users?
In my case, after I retired from full time employment, I wound up working for one of the "big box" auto parts stores, for several years, on a part time basis. I never worried about my battery, because I had 3 year warranties on my Red Tops, and just before I left that store, which happened to be very near the end of my Red Top's warranty period, I just happened to notice a voltage drop, one day, when I went to start the car........if you catch my drift. I no longer have that luxury, and the replacement Red Top is now going on 6 years old. I store the car in the winter, in an attached garage, consequently I do not trust a "tender". I have an Optima brand charger, and put it on the car for an hour or so, every other week. That works for me.

I would suggest that if you want an AGM battery - there are better options out there. I'm currently using Deka AGM's (Deka / East Penn supplies NAPA with their AGM Batteries).
