My new wheels and tires finally showed up. They poke quite a bit. Kinda confused. Searched and looked at several other post. I have same sizes and same tires as other people who have no poke???
Did forgestar send me the wrong offsets?
Open to suggestions and comments. I really don't understand wheel offsets. 18 all around. 295/35 and 275/35 nitto nt05
18x11 rear and 18x9.5 front. I did not see box or paperwork. So do not know what offsets they sent
I’ve been wanting those 5 spokes myself. You can probably find the offset stamped on the inside. Pull a front and rear and check out the hub face and spokes.

Gonna pull all wheels tomorrow. I will check. Already called local shop and informed them they are not going to work.
Forgestar's normal offset in a 9.5" width wheel, in a C5 fitment, is +50 or approximately 7.25" backspacing. For an 11" width wheel, in a C5 fitment, it would be +53 or approximately 8.10" backspace.
That much poke doesn't jive with the above specs unless the alignment is way off.
Ok. So I watched a video on YouTube about figuring backspace. The number I can up with are as follows. Fronts are 47.625mm and rears are 41.275mm. there are no stamps on inside of the wheels. My stock front wheels are wider then the forgestar wheels and sit flush.
Those are not backspace numbers. "Take a straight edge and lay it diagonally across the inboard flange of the wheel. Take a tape measure and measure the distance from where the straight edge contacts the inboard flange to the hub mounting pad of the wheel. This measurement is backspace."

I meant to say offsets not backspace. I'm not home at the moment. I think the rears were 8 1/8 . I will double check when I get home
Honest question. Everyone keeps saying change camber and mess with alignment. I had 3 sets of wheels on my c6 never had a problem. Tsw wheels oe wheels..brands like that. Fit no problems. Half the money. Everyone is telling me that 3000 dollar set of wheels and tires don't fit without altering the car? So it's a car problem and not a wheel problem? If they are built to fit the car and don't. Why would that not be a wheel problem? I spent 1300 dollars on tsw wheels and they fit perfectly. So I'm really having a hard time understanding how it's a car problem

It's a wheel problem in that sense, and a difference in opinion on what "good" wheel fitment is. For an 18x11 rear wheel, Forgestar is going to send you a +55 or +53 mm offset, and it's going to poke a little like you're seeing. It's popular and it's what most of their customers want. Also with a wheel that wide, there isn't room to tuck it inboard much more. When you have the wheels mounted and car on the ground, reach in and feel how much space is between the tire and rear brake duct to see what I mean. An 18x10.5 is easier to fit inside the fenders.
I just got my own new set of Forgestars and have the same issue even with -1.5° of camber in the rear. It isn't terrible and I'm going to live with it, because you can really only see it if you're looking for it. From most perspectives, it isn't noticeable, and that's why you don't see it in most pictures on the forum. It's true that if you lower the car and/or align in some negative camber, you can hide the poke to some extent. Otherwise, the fitment you have now is still going to get you plenty of compliments on Saturday mornings at Cars and Coffee.
