First up - I recommend pictures...and plenty of them.

Second - was this car in an accident or flood? The list of recent repairs sure reads like a "rebuild."

Like real estate location is king. If you live in certain areas ( hopefully of the Continental U.S.) they can provide a slight price bump
What do You think a fair price is?

19k. My answer. I purchased an M6 (99) car last fall w/ 75k on it for $14,700. Car is very nice. I'm the third owner. One guy had it for ten years and put 2k on it. The LS1 is bulletproof.

I think that's what your car will fetch. Just my opinion obviously. GLWTS
Good grief you've maintained that car well. But, it's worth what it's worth.

Wow, so this what 70K mile service looks like?

I'd start at $20K in this market.

Some history would be useful. My '98 has 80k+ miles and has needed only a fraction of what has been done the the car in question.

Ok. thanks. I will try and post some photos?

Accident or flood? No. Im the original owner. I would have put that in the original post if that were the case. A majority of the repairs are typical of a harmonic balancer replacement.

All of these repairs are pretty common with C5's and/or preventative maintenance and/or repairs with the "while youre in there" mentality.

I've been on the forum for almost ten years, never read a harmonic balancer replacement thread that is even in the same ballpark with this list.

Regardless, I wish you GLWS!

Looks about normal for a well maintained 21 YOA 70K mile car. It's just staggering to see it all down at once.

Same here on my ‘98 - Just fluids and belt pulleys so far with 69K and mine has never seen a shop or had major issue since new 🤷🏻‍♂️

Sounds like you almost have a new Vette. That would be a nice Vette for someone looking for one that has been pretty much refurbished...
PS...
I think with all the stuff you have done, you should be able to sell it for way more than a regular 70K similar Vette

That's a lot of work for only 72k miles. But IMO it would give me confidence those items have been addressed.

Assuming the car needs absolutely nothing, no matter your advertised price I'm thinking $20k minus anything I can see that needs repair. I'd be pretty happy to get you down to $18k
(personally I'd be looking for a 03-04 and would give a little higher price accordingly)

C5 Corvettes were produced at a clip of about 35,000 per year from '98 to '04 . . . .

So about 175,000 in were produced . . . .

Yours with 72,000 miles is in the grand scheme of all things C5 is on higher end of the milage spectrum . . .

The number of Drivers still living that know how to drive a Manual Transmission is shrinking day by day . . .

The Service History and Added Louder Exhaust Mod can scare off Buyers looking for an Original Low Milage Garage Queen that aint gonna scare off their Wife's logical fun car input . . .

Your Target Demographic for your C5 is gonna be a Younger Single Redneck wanting more Horse Power the his Fart Canned 4 or 6 Cyl Winged Atrocity . . .

Can this Kid get a $16,000 Loan on a 21 year old Sports Car . . . Not very likely . . .

C5s with Tan Interiors don't really age well . . .

OK - We got some of the Glass Half Empty Elephants in the Room factored into the equation . . .

Let's look at some Glass Half Full Selling points . . . .

Fresh Tires means the new owner aint gonna have to pop another $1,200 into the car for a while ( provided they don't spin the rears down quickly )

Resale Red will help a tad

and lastly . . .

a Picture is worth a thousand words and helps the experts here determine a legit value on your 1 owner cared of C5 . . .

Blind Best Guess on Value . . . .

A Stealership will offer you about $9,200 to buy outright ~ $9,700 Trade in Value . . .

You can try asking $17,500 and sell Private Party ~ but be prepared for aggravation and lots of unqualified kids dreaming

Be real - Price it at $15,000 Firm - and hope a qualified buyer has the cash in hand to make the car go away . . .

or . . .

Just hold on to the car knowing that the C5 is going to be the next C4 once the Electric C9 comes out . . . and value will most likely just stagnate over time . . .

Hope this evaluation based on a sight unseen description helps in your quest for a value

IMO you have a very desirable Corvette....a late model one owner C5 with a complete documented service history, 6 speed manual transmission in Mag Red.
Provided that the paint and interior are near perfect and given the current market for used cars especially Corvettes, I would start at $19,900. But you could start higher if you don't mind waiting for the right buyer who can appreciate all that you have done. Personally, I would keep it and enjoy it for another 72K miles. I look forward to seeing some pictures.
