The lantern on/off is right next to the color selection. However I found that they did not work properly in my car using the Axxess interface. I ended up connecting the orange wire to the red power wire so that the buttons are lit all of the time which is fine with me.

Thanks for the reply! Yeah, I think I'm having the same issue. I'll probably do the same as you and just run a constant 12VDC to it...easy peasy.
I have this unit in my car now. I love the size and the fact it has a volume ****. HOWEVER, the connectivity sucks, over 50% of the time it will not connect to my phone and I have to drop and re-pair.
I would avoid this one.

Edit:
Just a total guess on my part, but thinking that the newer model could look like this.

To clarify, that's the orange wire from the Axxess? If so, yeah, it's known to not work for illumination unfortunately. There's a wire on the climate control (HVAC) connector you can/should use instead for stereo illumination input: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...post1597138793
Just got / installed mine today. Ordered with the Bose adapter and everything work great. Very impressed with the kit. Install was very easy, only took about an hour or so. Sound quality is great, far better than my original radio (although that was very scratchy). Went with a backup camera off Amazon as well and that works flawlessly too. If anyone is looking for a modern stereo setup (even has wireless Android Auto) and doesn't want to go with aftermarket dash, then this is a great option. I'll say the only downside is mine took about a month to arrive. Ordered May 22nd and arrived June 20th.
This is a major upgrade over the other 1-DIN radio. Got the factory Bose subs working this time too.
Thanks for the info. Do you have a link for the radio you purchased? Also, did mounts come with the radio to get it centered etc? One of the big selling points for me on the kit from Reversion Raceworks is the 3D printed mount.

Man, I'm so close to ordering! Just can't decide if I want to wait for the new radio that will have a volume control and face mounted USB ports. Your review matches up with all the other reviews I've read on this product on this forum and Facebook. Which Amazon camera did you go with?

Yes, it was the one posted above, that appears to be the same one from Reversion.

This is the camera I went with. Quality is good and easy to wire. Impressively easy to run the wire from the back to the unit on these vehicles as well. I ran the USB to come out near the bottom of the passenger side and it's easily tuckable and reachable, personally I think a front facing USB would be more in the way. As far as volume **** that's purely preference. I did have to tap the illumination wire into the temp control harness though as talked about above.
Just received the reversion raceworks radio kit for my 2000 c5 with Bose system. Looks like i going to need someone with a higher IQ than me to hook this up. Some of the colored wires don't match and the online manual is too hard for me to understand. In my area don't where to go for help. This might be coming up for a greatly reduced price for sale. Any suggestions!!!!!!!!!!!

I did not use the online manual when installing as it was hard to read. I referenced the bose adapter manual which tells you what colors go to where and then the radio harness each wire is labeled. Just match them and should be good to go.

Thanks a bunch. Why didn't i think of that. One other question. The car wiring has 3 connections. I found where 2 go. Is the small one not connected?

Yeah I just left the small one unconnected, have had no problems. Unsure about the exact colors as for the wiring goes, sorry. I believe I connected the blue remote wire to the amp wire. The pink BACK wire is for backup camera connection, if I remember correctly.
Thanks for the link to the mounting kit. They wanted $100 just for the 3d printed one.
I've looked at many photos of the Reversion Raceworks installation, and they look beautiful. I can't help but wonder if the Metra kit would be as precise.
