Friday night I was rushing to get to an 8PM appointment and sure enough got pulled over by a LEO. He asked me if I knew I was speeding and I told him I really thought I was going to get my first ticket in town in either my new (to me) '02 Vette or my Harley and not my beater '99 F150 he just smiled and took my license and insurance card. Ten minutes later he came back with a warning ticket.
Oh my god... you are my new hero.... I never get away with ****...
I remember the scene in the movie FARGO . . . when the guy had a $50 bill sticking out of his wallet. The scene got really gruesome after that point in time.
I monitor the Ohio State Patrol. Those who get stopped usually get stopped multiple times in a rather short period of time.
CARDINAL rule for me . . . Only push it on the highway not in town . . and I use a Valentine 1 too. . . been real pleased following my rules of not speeding when there are a lot of other cars around or in the city limits . . . plenty of places you can use to go over the limit . . . you were lucky . . . you are a candidate for another stop soon but you may not be as lucky the next time . . . those insurance rates will grab you too when they do a BMV check

"I got caught a few weeks ago, it was 9 am on a sat taking a friend back to the airport. The express way becomes local and the exit ramp i needed was closed so i switched lanes and sure enough a cop on a bike was lurking under a ramp. He got be for 76 in a 55. Guy was a dick and gave me no break or anything, and it switched from 70 to 55 back like 100 yards plus the exit ramp i needed was closed. Not really making exuses but in 13 years of driving i have only had 2 5 over tickets in that time.
I got a lawyer for it so we will see how things turn out."
Finally had my day in court, zero points and a $110 dollar fine. Well worth it since it probably would have been 4 point or more ticket.
