I just talked to someone last week that had a hidden cut-off switch for the starter I guess. When he gets in the car he has to flip the switch to start the car.
I personnaly was looking into the Stealth Guardian. It will electronically and physically disable your car. So unless they have a huge forklift your car isn't going anywhere. http://www.mainengineering.com/sg_.htm
There is NO WAY possible to stop someone from stealing your car. You can only slow a thief down some and or deter would be joy rider thiefs. A professional is going to get your car and you will not likely get it back. The joyrider might get your car and you will most likely get it back trashed...worse than not getting back.
Now there are several ways to slow down a thief and deter joyriders. You can use a club,an aftermarket security system, or just a sticker from a security system. The club....pretty much useless. Anyone can remove the club from your car in a few seconds with a pair of cheap bolt cutters. And an aftermarket security system is only as good as the person that installs it. If you go that way shop installers and products. Now for LoJack...LoJack will not keep your car from being stolen but it can help you get the car back quickly. But you have to know the car was stolen and report it. LoJack is a sweet product but only if used properly. Good luck.
