IS there a difference with any of these cold air intakes for the C5 ???
All I have done is the Borla Stinger Cat Back. Im soon going to upgrade to the Kooks Headers, Hi Flo Cats, and a Tune Program. Im still deciding on whether which Cold Air Intake to use......
Why did you choose the Halltech than the vararam $345 or the halltech Ram version for $5 hunge ? Or Others ????
Thanks for the Info.
The Halltech Stinger and Donaldson Blackwing are not cold air intakes, but for a mere $40 or so, you can convert your C5 so that cold air IS directed at your aftermarket intake through a very direct path. You can also open up your fog light covers for an indirect supply of outside air. The reason why the Halltech Stinger is so popular is simple - it gives you much more for money than does any other intake system. The Vararam is a great system too, but does cost $150 more and prevents cooling off of the engine bay via the front facia, since both sides direct air into the VR filter only. None of this air is able to flow over the engine, You'd have to add a functional cold-air hood to gain this benefit.
Good Info-Dad's Stinger, along with the B&B Bullets are getting installed tomorrow.
My B&B Bullets were installed today, but other mods going on so I couldn't drive it. I did start it and listen. Unreal sound. Let me know when you guys get yours on and take it for a drive. It will be a while for me and I am wanting someones opinion about these pipes that have them.
