My GF said something about my vette being a old guy car the other day. So I told her that was fine. Next time I go out in the corvette, I will see how many girls I can pick up with my "old man car" while she is sitting on her *** at home. She changed her tune real quick. I am 22 and she is 19 and never misses a chance to go riding in it.

The car in question is a 1970 Pontiac Firebird...or it could be a 1972 Pontiac GTO...it's definitely a Pontiac something!

Go to a mustang rally a Vette rally and a porsche rally and you WILL see that the Stereo types are for the most part true.

Obvioulsy there are exceptions, but by and large Mustang=20-30 gear head who got the best bang for the buck

Porsche=someone who loves cars, and can afford any car they want.

vette=someone who has always wanted a sports car, and finaly at age 40 was able to get one.

We have a winner!

I guess that the fact that I am a woman driving a vet, I don't really get many negative comments. I only had one "negatori", after dropping some letters off in the mailbox at the office and approaching my car, a "gent" in a caddy said to me, "woman shouldn't be allowed to drive cars like that!" To which I replied "ALLOWED??!! "Guess we should all be home in the kitchen cooking, HUH??" lol...that was too funny...

I've lusted over Vettes since I was old enough to know what they where. I've alsways wanted one. I vowed that when the time was right I'd have one come Hell or high water. I've had my car for nearly two years and the only negative comments I've gotten are from people at work.

Hey Jennifer,

I got 'cha. I just passed the average age 2 weeks ago. How are y'all down there? Looks like no cruising this weekend...prediction is for snow/rain most of tomorrow and Sunday.

Oh well...Looking forward to warmer, drier weather and some Northwest cruises...

I bought my C5 last summer, a month or so before I turned 50. I get the "mid-life crisis" crap all of the time. Why they say that I don't know, I had a black SS before the C5. Over the years I have had 11 Vettes, my first when I was 19, and 5 F-bodies so this type of car is not new to me. When people accuse me of the "M-L-C", I tell them I just traded the SS for a car that gets better gas mileage (it does) and is cheaper to insure (it is).

Over a couple of my best friends wife said that I must have a small ******. I showed her my size 12's and she said that did not mean anything...so out came the monster. Needless to say, now she has no idea why I bought the Vette cause I'm to young to have a mid life crisis...

Peace

OK I had a 1956 pontiac street rod and wanted a vette, the wife was NOT a fan of this idea, So i sold the pontiac spent the cash on some mods for the house, The wife was so happy that on my birthday i opened the garage to find a new vette, The point is this I will NEVER UNDERSTAND WOMAN but a good wife is priceless!!!
