Do you know if they'll weigh about the same amount as stock, or maybe less. I'd love to shave off a few more pounds while improving brightness. Keep us posted.

Wow, very impressive. Finally someone who is attempting to do it right on a large scale while also addressing the legalities.

Howdy!

Sounds like an excellent effort - I'm running T84 housings with a decent H4 bulb with standard wattage (OEM GM adapters) and it's a decent improvement over stock (meaning they look better than a $0.99 plastic flashlight with failing batteries )

The wifey's last couple of BMW's give me a serious case of headlight envy - her X5 has the adaptive, Xenon Bi-level setup which is simply amazing.

I've also been around cars using HID retrofits in both domestic lenses and euro/T84 lenses, and while it's very bright, there are some issues with the beam pattern, aiming, etc.

A ~real~ HID lense built into a plug-n-play headlamp assembly would be outstanding, and I'd be one of the first in line.

From a cosmetic standpoint, I really like what one of the member here did: used some Audi lenses, HID's, etc., and combined that with a "sleepy eyes" type effect so when the lights poped up, the gap just cleared the lense - very slick looking!

Look forward to seeing how this shapes up!

Mike - Please put me on the list of people wanting one of your two set-ups. I am thinking fixed but may go pop-up depending on the look of the fixed. Thanks - Asphalt Animal

I'd also be interested in the pop up type. Can't wait to see the prototype.

Put me on the list for the fixed halogens. I think I stripped both sides of my headlight gear.

MRAY,

I already did a retrofit using Valeo e-code HID projectors and philips/hella OEM HID bulbs and ballasts. The lighting is unbelievable but I have found that the stock headlamp pop-up assemblies shake and it is much more obvious with an HID projector that produces a VERY sharp cutoff. Have you taken this into consideration? I have tried making a system that stiffens up the headlamp assemblies with no luck.

Also, I would be interested in purchasing the fixed version of you're headlights, but since I already have a very high quality HID setup would you consider selling me JUST the headlight buckets and clear lenses? I would install my own projector. Let me know if this is possible.

Thanks

will we still use a 9006 for low and 9005 for high beams? i am about to buy a HID kit for my stock housing for now... i can't stand the stock lighting... at least the HIDs with some aiming will help.

will your new fixed headlight setup use 9006 bulbs for low and 9005 for high???

Probably not as the parts I will manufacture probably won't accomodate your assemblies. On the vibration issue, we will have to take a look at that on the protos.
