Mray -

Once you have the new modules will you be ready to go or will there be additional materials, R&D, etc. before you're ready to begin sales? My understanding was that the modules were the last obstacle but after re-reading the thread now I'm not sure... Thanks for the information - AA

Sorry guys-I have been away from the forum for a little while.

No design work has formally been done on anything at this point. Conceptually we have our ideas on what both units will look like but until I have real modules in hand and can being working on the mounts, shrouds and lenses, there isn't anything I can do. Based on my experience in doing this for the Impala SS, it will realisitically be towards the end of this year before I have product. The manufacturer informed me early this year there units would be available in March and that has slipped.

As soon as I have modules, we will then build one prototype pop-up and I will take pictures. We then will design the molds and produce a finished unit--they will then go on sale. Next will be the fixed units....following the same process. Fixed units will be more difficult to build because there are more parts. However from a "look" perspective, I will be using the popup dimensions as the exact dimensions for the fixed units...it must follow the lines and curves of the body and enhance the appearance of the C5...if we can not make it look great, I won't build it.

Hope that helps.

Mray, if ur kit will truly be a remove stock housing and plug in, play new housing...people..be patient for it!!! its going to be worth it!!!

Specter Werks C5R kit is not well made at all. the projectors are awesome, but the housing is craptastic! Mray, i hope ur kit will be solid and well built!

good luck, and thanks for the update!

Guys-

Just a quick update...I have finally arm-wrestled two modules from the manufacturer to start building the headlights ( I have them now)...the new modules are expected to be in inventory in the US shortly. I also have two complete C5 popups on their way here for fitting. I can't give any more estimates at this point. Thanks for your patience.

Just a quick update. We have finished our prior project and are beginning to focus the c5. We are still waiting delivery info on the projectors in the USA.

Here some pictures of our product for the SS/Caprice. Just an indication of what we can do-

If they are, I'll just buy new ones when these cloud over instead of buffing them out all the time.
