I've got a 98 vert with 28k. Mine only lasted until I could replace them with Bilstein Sports. Great shock with the Z06 bars.

Stock shocks are JUNK in all cars the cheapest crap to get you out of the lot. I put Bilsteins in my Dodge 3500 and it was like night and day. I loved them so much I removed the shock shocks on my Excusion with 10,000 miles. Big difference. My car goes without saying. At 98 yours are so far gone you won't believe it. Like painting a white ceiling you don't know how bad it is until you paint it.

You can go to the dealer or find someone who has aTECH II and you can program the F-45 selective Ride out of the BCM and install what ever shocks that you like. If you go the the route of the OEM Selective Ride shocks it will be EXPENSIVE!

Default Stock Repalcement $$

$1500 No way.. but $550 to $600 for EACH shock in the box.

I was considering replacing them due to a squeek. For that much $$ I can turn the radio up,, and on the straight aways on the track with the windows open,, all I can hear is the exhaust.

Don't be shocked at the replacement cost.

But now what are the procedures to program out the select ride?

99 Nassau Blue squeeking along,, I think,, wait let me turn the radio down.
