I am running the QTP's into the RT cats and "X" pipe that come with the QTP's. Didn't want to mention it earlier as I didn't want to start another header war. My RT system is 2-3/4 by the way.

Ya know, I have looked at this again and until you get it on the dyno again and do wide band 02 measurements (in front of the cats, so you will need to have an 02 bung placed in one of the headers) you won't know whats going on.

The a/f ratios could be way off after the header install. And if you are going to compare track nbrs you'll have to compare 60ft times, DA, track conditions as well.

I would start by taking the car to a competent, well respected tuner and having it retuned following the header install. With your mods you should be around 325-330 RWHP.

I am not sure if I am the "secret tuner" as mentioned, but since I was brought up in this thread I will give my 2 cents.

First on the Vararam, it works for what it was intended at speeds and is in the ball park with other cold air systems on the dyno. I am not a big fan of the foam filter and generally put a K&N in there. The foam filter flows more air, but also allows more dirt.

No on to the headers, I did personally have a used set of RK Sport headers, clones of the TPIS, we put on one of our customers cars at his request. An option over new and "how bad could they be?".Wel, it picked up about 2RWHP and 3RWT using the RK highflow cats. Took off the cats and she gained 5RWHP and 4RWT. Very odd. Customer was quite disappointed.

Eventually we put on a new set of TPIS headers and OR pipes and she gained 20RWHP and 25RWT. Just shows you can have a bad header. Food for thought. Later.

Good to see that someone else, a well respected tuner, no less, believes that the Vararam actually works.

Dennis, I was at some of the same events that you were at last Fall (I was running 13.15), I was also at the same Milan event as you last week. My Milan times were about .3 second slower than last falls events... thus your 13.1 -.3 =12.8. Looks like no change from last year.

Look dummy, did I say I never heard of him? Let me explain what I said. You do understand English?

"I don't know you" means I have never met him.

"haven't talked to you" means we have never had a conversation.

"haven't seen your name mentioned" means I looked back thru the threads and didn't see anyone mention his name.

And let me add a mystery tuner was mentioned. Don't know what that means. I did not mention his name because I quoted what he told me and I didn't ask his permission to use his name. You know him VERY well.

I'll go by what he says. In my opinion he's one of the best Vette guys in the country. And I'm sure you'll agree.

Now go find yourself a class in 'reading comprehension'.

Like I said, Not sure if I was who you were talking about and have no idea who you are either. Not a big deal. I was brought up by 90 droptop when he posted "Let me guess, Mike Norris is the secret tuner........surprise surprise!" about two posts before mine. I only found this thread when I did a search for "Norris" and figured since I was mentioned I would try to help out with the original purpose of the thread. Be civil y'all and thanks for the kind words for sure. Greatly appreciated.

Hi Mike. I don't know what poop top said. He's an immature kid and worse than most children. I have him on my ignore list which is why I didn't see your name.
