Topped at 160 because of an exhaust leak that I found out later was because one of the header bolts wasn't torqued down all the way.

I'll have to try again for 170s

155 along the 95 corridor in N.C. at crack of dawn.

Roads were empty and I could see for miles. Car was still pulling hard, but lost my nerve and found common sense so I backed down.

Didn't take long to get there and it's amazing how smooth these cars are at those kind of speeds.

Your car should NOT be squirrely at 115. Get that checked out. I hit that speed or better weekly and my car never acts goofy.

I'm really not interested in top-speed runs so I haven't had it above 140 and that only for a second or two. I agree though. Your car should definitely not feel anything but rock-solid at 115 mph. A lot of us do that and better in the 1/4 mile!

140 on my "private " road, car felt rock solid. Your car should feel pretty solid at 115 unless you have a bad alignment/bad tires/bend frame.

How old are you?

O come on "lil lady - you know this will get all the guys going on this forum.

Speed in excess of the posted limit is not allowed. Keep it to the track (sort of like keep it in your pants)!

I guess the Corvette Forum could always branch out into new markets... Online Dating... It could Work! Although, we're going to have to recruit a few more female Vette owners...
