I don't have the exact ones I'm throwin in front of me but is there a difference between the H and C? I mean, I get some codes with the H and I've pushed the reset to take them away but they'll come back again with the same H and not a C. Am I just not clearing them?

H = History
C = Current
History is a past set code that is still stored and a current one is a condition that is still present.
How do you clear them then? Does using the reset button not work? I've cleared them that way and as I said, they seem to come back with history and not the current.
Corvettes are known for code 1064H. It is a communication error code. It takes 50 error free engine cycles to clear a history code without resetting it manualy.
What do you mean by resetting it manually. I have the 1064 H code as well. I have followed the procedure to clear the code on the DIC, but it will again appear the next time I get in the car as a History code again. Does this need to be cleared by some other method than what I am using, or are you saying that it can only be cleared by going through 50 cycles?

Mine does the same thing all of the time. I don't worry about that one it usually has something to do with the rdcm,ldcm, or scm memory issues.
The dealer will not do anything about them unless you have a current not history.

Good info Bill (as usual ). For all the others out there that may not be familiar with the three most common "pest" codes for the C5's, they are U1016H, U1064H and U1096H. None of these three indicate a permanent problem of any kind (ergo the "H" designation) and are related to minor communication issues between our various systems. These three fall into the "RFA" section on the DIC.
Best way to deal with these three is to ignore them, since the do not indicate any kind of functional problem that needs repair. HTH.
