I just got my 2000 vert back from the dealer. The dealer found a crack in the block and the extended warranty replaced the engine with a long block. The car is stock. I drove it for 200 miles without getting on it. I jumped on it a little today and is has a slight surge and no way has the same power as before. I do not know if they did anything to the computer. Do you need to reset the computer after replacing the engine? Is there anything I can do myself to try to fix the problem? I really do not want to take it back to the dealer unless I have to. Thanks in advance for any ideas.
Yep,,,,,,,,the P0332 code is giving you some problems. Your Knock sensor circuit is OOC and affecting your ignition timing and thus your performance!
Do you or have you ever washed your engine with a garden hose?? If so the sensors can be damaged by the water standing in the valve valley. My recommendation would be to remove the intake manifold and take a look at the sensors and wiring harness!
