Which motor oil is really the best? Mobil 1, Amsoil, Redline or Royal Purple. I am not convinced by the ball bearing wear test because there is no engine heat involved. What do you guys and girls say?

I really think that amsoil and redline are better made oils than Mobil 1, but I still run Mobil 1 due to cost and availability.

If you don't track your car (roadcourse) you can run M1 5w-30, change at 7500 miles and never have an oil related failure.

I use Mobil 1, but am considering using Royal Purple or German Castrol for my next change.

Mobile 1 is the best. You can spend more money on others brands but in all reality, how could they be any better?

IMHO, it depends on how you drive your car and how you use it. Mobil 1 is a good oil, but there are better. If you open track or drive your car hard then I would look at Redline or Royal Purple. I use Royal Purple at the moment, but am switching to Redline on my next OCI.

I realize you're new to the Forum, but you gotta know a question like this is gonna start a "food" fight!!!

Any good synthetic is fine to use, beyond that, it's gonna get real personal !!!
