I know you can adjust the ergos of the BPP shifter, but does this include the height or is the height fixed?
I'm trying to decide between the hurst and BPP... I might want the shifter to be shorter than the hurst is, so I was wondering if the BPP will allow adjustment of height....
If the BPP's height is not adjustable, how much shorter is its height as compared to the stock shifter?
Thanks

The height is not adjustable per se, but you can always adjust the shifter **** to make the throw shorter/stiffer or longer/easier. I didn't actually measure the stock/BPP heights, but I would say that the BPP is noticably shorter - at least by a half-inch. The Hurst, like the stock shifter, is positioned for the average person at an average distance from the steering wheel/pedals. Fortunately for those of us who are not 6-ft tall, the BPP accomodates taller and shorter drivers with ease.
BPP sell their shifter with an arm with a bend in it that allows the position of the **** to be adjusted as the stock arm that comes with the shifter. They also make a arm that is straight--no bend in it. It can be mounted so it angles forward or back a little. That arm is about an inch shorter than the angled arm. I bought my BPP with the straight arm, but reciently replaced it with the bent arm so I could get the position where I wanted it. The bent arm also make the shifting a little easier, since it is longer.
The replacement arm cost me $27. If anyone wants to try the straight arm, I'd consider selling it.
