R compounds on the street = flat tires. You will pick-up every nail & screw on the road. Regarding street mileage, the max you will get is 5,000 miles on any R compound. Last, good luck if you are ever caught in the rain. I have Mich PS 2' and they are the best all-round tire I ever used. A close second would be the Bridgstone S0-3's.

Bad Idea... if you want a very very stickey street tire go look at Nitto R2's. It's the R1 drag radial tread compound but still retains the stiffer sidewall for a goot race/street tire.

My friend has them on his 911 Carrera S. He got a flat inside the 1st month.

If so, how many street miles will I get out of them???
thanks
Rember R compounds are measued in Heat Cycles not miles. Yes the Cup tires get more Heat cycles then normal R compounds but not by much.
Just a wild guess here but 12-14 heat cycles at 75-100 a heat cycle ( if that )your looking 1200-1500 miles off a set of tires. Plus traction greatly decreases with each heat cycle.
Plus the very thin side walls and non belted soo any road clag and look out.
In the past I have Used Hoosier DOTs, Good Year G19s and now use Hoosier VRLs. The first Hoosiers I got 4 weekends on the track or about 800 miles and the last weekend had no grip. The Good years was was 3 weekends and should have been two weekends.
The current set of Hoosiers, VRLs has one so so weekend on, but I think I can get two great weekends.
Figure 125 miles per day.
And ppl wonder why we buy scrubbs.
The difference between road tires and true road racing tires.
