Need advice!!!!
I am looking to buy a 98 roadster with 84K on it. I know that is high mileage but its a good buy maybe? I test drove it and there was a whine coming from the back end. The tranny shifted fine and had good pick up. Sounds like the rear diff. Any ideas?? Thanks

Auto or manual?
A bad rear diff can make a whine like this- but it a manual tranny...unfortunately so can that.

The rear on these cars leak, make sure it is full of fluid.

I also live in Gales Ferry. If you want, I will take a look at the car with you. I have two C5 and lots of driving time under my belt!!
